prayer/life

I find it amuzing how every single day, it feels like your just going thru another day;  Nothing really out of the ordinary. But when you stop and realize where you were a few day's, week's, month's, or even year's ago, your life starts to come into perspective.      

I'll be the first to say there are times in my life where i doubt god is even listening to my prayers. I begin to loose hope, doubting he would have the time to listen to a  sinners prayers; let alone do anything about it.

But thank god, that i'm completly wrong.!!

Everything that i have asked for, has come to pass.  He has blessed me with a job, that allows me the time to do whatever i want.  Has given me a decent form of transportation. And most importantly, has answerd my prayer for my hearts biggest desire. To have that special someone in my life that i desperatly needed.  Just like adam needed eve, even though  he walked thru the garden with god himself.  God answerd my prayers by giving me, my "eve".

Now i know that those prayers sound awfully selfish... but the bible says that god will supply you with the desires of your heart if you trust in him. the bible also talks about testing god....try him... see if he wont answer your prayers. And out of obedience i did just that.

It took alot of faith and patience... alot of waiting. It came down to the point, that one day i just couldn't take it anymore. I demanded of god, to answer me if he trully cared!  (now i know that sounds really bad, probably thinking that you shouldn't talk to god that way.) I rememberd david; A person that god called, "a man after my own heart". And i remember reading in psalms, how he would pray to god. When he prayed, he gave all his heart to him. Whether it was fear, doubt, anger, insecurity, happines.... whatever it was he let god know. And god appreciated that honesty.

When i gave it all to god that one night, that was the breakthru i needed. From that day on, god started to answer my prayers. I might have not recognized it then and there.. but it happend!

Now the reason why i'm telling you this... is because god really does answers prayers. But that isn't always the best thing. You must be certain you want that which you ask for!  Because with every blessing comes responsibility!! God is expecting you to become responsible and produce on that which he has given you.

For example....

By blessing me with a better paying job, he expects me to give more... to those in need, to the church.. to the ministry.

By blessing me with a form of trasportation... he expects me to help those who dont have the means.

By blessing me with lisa... he expects me to help her, support her.. be there when she needs me. And most importantly, be commited to her and only her, for the rest of my life.

So as i said be sure you really want what you pray for... because you will get it.

some of you may wonder why i have such a huge grin on my face "if you saw me".

well lets just say that a huge weight was just lifted off my shoulders!!  my re. know's what im talking about!

im pretty sure re. is very happy too. probably more than me.

well in other news. its my two month anniversary.. crazy how time flies.. and yet it doesnt.

it seems as if we've been together for alot longer than two months.

i can honestly say these past two months have been the most exciting months in my 20 years of being on this earth. ....

thank you jesus..

oh by the way re....
