Well I have returned from the enchanting island of Hawai'i. *applause and cheering*
I really enjoyed this trip, although there were a few stressful times. I got to manage the silk flower lei company, even had a hand in firing an incompetent person. Made some sweet money and gained lots of managerial and business experience.
My cuz Ed was there with his very nice lady-friend for a few days. I always have fun with Ed. Also my other cousin lives there with her great husband and two young boys. And Clementine, yet another friend was there. Rich and I had many fun times with her. So yes, I was not neccessarily lonely over there. But here in Greenwood my true cicle of friends are. Here I have friends and especially my dog, Lucky!
Seems, though, there's an even more distinct possibility of me moving there in the future. A good slice of the company is ready to be handed to me and I can see, with some inprovement and expansion, it to be a multi-million dollar business. Money is not everything, but it is something. And I have a lot of supportive Chinese relatives over there as well. Guess I best start learning Chinese. Right now, my future is up in the air and awaiting my decision(s).
Rich and I did a lot of surfing in Waikiki (for the waves of north shore are not existent during the summer time). Either we'd walk about 15 mins to the beach or drive the Lexus. Surfing is sooo much fun and it really makes me want me to go snowboarding sometime.
Mom is still over there, spending a little more time with the family. I hope she has fun and I can't wait for her to come back. She really wants to move there now and my dad does as well after this recent trip.
But it's good to be back, in the humidity and bugs..... Hope to see everyone soon. |
