Well, we thought we would post again, and share a few things that the Lord has done.
As all of you who are married know, and those of you who are going to find out - being engaged, planning a wedding, finding a place to live, and keeping up with full-time jobs can be pretty tricky. Because our relationship was long distance, it made things even more exciting!
We have seen the Lords faithfulness though in many areas. In August of last year, we had been looking for an apartment, or small house to start off in. We felt relieved when were about to get a 2 bedroom apartment, it all seemed sooo perfect. Well, that one fell through as the people who were going to move out, decided to stay (it was a month to month rental).
I (Heather) had come up to visit and work a seminar in Lancaster, PA the last week of July, it was then that we found out about a small 1 bedroom apartment, with a little kitchen (easy to clean!) and it seemed like a great place to start out.
Later in August, I came up again and we were able to take a look at it. We did a walk- through, and it was the perfect place for us. We talked to the landlords (who are the sweetest older couple, and are believers) and made plans to move in. When we got out to the truck, I remembered saying "OK Lord, we have an apartment, but we don't have any furniture." I remembered sensing the Lord reminding me that He is in control, and to trust Him. A few minutes later (still parked in front of the apartment), we got a call - it was a lady from church who said she had a friend moving and had a lot of furniture she was trying to give away. We also had another friend in SC later that month that let us know of more furniture he wanted to give away. It is wonderful to think of God’s loving, watchful eye - and His care for His children and all their needs.
Recently, we received a phone call from our landlord, and found out that he now has a 2 bedroom apartment available, and wanted to know if we wanted it. We had been thinking about finding a little bigger place, but hadn't really pursued it yet. God knew our desires, and we are looking forward to moving into it in a couple weeks.
We are reminded time and time again of the Lords faithfulness in supplying every need - sometimes even before we ask. So in answer to the question above "Does God know?", YES God knows -- even before we ask!
Since we will have a spare bedroom, we would like our friends to come visit us! Let us know when you will be in the area, we'd love to see you!
