Personality Test~

ENTP

Logical Explorer: Innovate and Initiate

"The possibilities are endless"

Strengths

You are an Extrovert with Intuition as your strongest dominant function and Thinking as your second strongest "helping" function. This means that your greatest strength is your ability to take in information by focusing on the large picture and the future possibilities of a situation. You are innovative, strategic and entrepreneurial. You are able to provide new ways of doing things and view limitations as challenges to overcome.

Your second greatest strength (helping function) is your ability to make decisions based on logical analysis. You are able to solve problems by providing a conceptual framework. You have a great ability to plan theoretical systems to meet organizational needs.

Careers and ideal work environment

ENTPs are likely to do well in occupations that allow them to continually take on new challenges. Those include, but are not limited to, Science, such as Chemistry and Physics; Technology, such as Software and Hardware Engineering; Management; Fashion Design; Interior Design; Plastic Surgery; Acting; Directing; Entrepreneurship; and Art

ENTPs like to work with people in start-up activities that require ingenuity and unusual resourcefulness. They can be good team-members as long as the group contains independent people working on models to solve complicated problems.

As an ENTP your ideal work environment is one containing independent competent people who enjoy the challenge of solving complex issues. You like to work in an environment that provides flexibility and independence in doing the job, and rewards risk taking. You also like to work in an environment that is change-oriented and non-bureaucratic.

General areas for development

As an Extrovert, you may appear blunt and insensitive when you explain your views and ideas to others. If so, you are strongly encouraged to develop more patience and take the time to explain your ideas.

Your blind spots include your Feeling and your Sensing; those are referred to as your tertiary and inferior functions, respectively. Because you base your decisions on logic, as opposed to people and values, you are likely to neglect interpersonal niceties and the impact of your behavior on those around you. Furthermore, in taking in the information around you, you may be so focused on the possibilities that you become lost in the model, forgetting about current realities and details. In your quest for challenges, you may overextend yourself and reach burnout.

Being a P, you are likely to value openness and autonomy to such an extent that it creates an environment that is too lacking in structure, direction, and necessary follow-through. You may also resist standard procedures and processes.

Being aware of your blind spots is vital. It sheds light on the areas that you need to develop. For example, it is important that you remind yourself to take present realities and practical details into consideration. It is also important that you plan for things and put in the effort necessary to achieve desired results. Finally, it is important that you include more interpersonal niceties and express appreciation of others.

Knowing your own, and other people's, type is very helpful. It allows you to appreciate differences instead of being frustrated by them. In knowing what your strengths are, you are able to capitalize on them. In knowing what your blind spots are, you can take steps to compensate for them. One way you can take steps to compensate for your blind spots is to seek the assistance of someone who does not share your type.

Extroverts tend to act first and think later. This is an advantage in cases that need an immediate response. However, it can also be a disadvantage in cases that require some time to think before acting. As a rule, in order to avoid taking hasty action, you are encouraged to take two steps back before responding or making a decision. If you find yourself unable to do so, you are encouraged to seek the assistance of an Introvert who will surely give you invaluable input. Make sure, however, that you allow the Introvert the time he or she needs to reflect.

Intuitive people are more comfortable dealing with matters that require creativity and imagination. They are very much about "what can be" as opposed to "what is". They are instinctively aware of the large picture and the long-term ramifications of a situation. This is an advantage in cases that require a creative response that meets the long-term vision of a situation. However, it can be a disadvantage in cases that require a more practical response that is appropriate to the day-to-day realities of a situation. As a rule, you are encouraged to consciously include practical details in your view of things and to push yourself to be more realistic. If you find yourself unable to do so, you are encouraged to seek the assistance of a Sensing person who will surely provide you with the "reality check" and practical input that you need.

Thinking people are more comfortable making decisions based on a logical analysis of the facts. They love to come up with solutions that meet the logical demands of a situation. They will see flaws and take action to correct them. This is an advantage in cases that require an impersonal logical response. However, it can be a disadvantage in cases that require a more personal response that takes other people's feelings into account. As a rule, you are encouraged to push yourself to take more personal and subjective matters into account when making your decisions. If you find yourself unable to do so, you are encouraged to seek the assistance of a Feeling person who will surely provide you with the personal input that you need.

Perceiving people are more comfortable dealing with things as they arise. They love to spend their time gathering information without necessarily making decisions. They lead an open, flexible life, and are able to come up with spontaneous solutions. This is an advantage in cases that require an open exploration of the facts. It is also an advantage in times of crisis where a calm and adaptive response is needed. It can, however, be a disadvantage in cases that require planning, organization, and methodical implementation. As a rule, you are encouraged to push yourself to plan, to set goals, and to work to achieve them. If you find yourself unable to do so, you are encouraged to seek the assistance of a Judging person who will surely provide you with the planning and structuring that you need.

Communication strengths and areas for development

When you express yourself, you are persuasive and articulate. You advocate and negotiate for your ideas. You use logical, analytical language to describe abstract problems. While you may initially seem skeptical and detached, you can be easygoing, tolerant, and casual. You explore links and integrate ideas. You like to hear how and why things work and enjoy questioning others. You discuss and play with alternative solutions that may seem contradictory. You like to hear communication that comes from a credible, expert source. You like to hear communication that includes general guidelines while allowing for you to come up with how and what you need to do to accomplish goals. You to see information presented in flowcharts and system maps. You do not like to hear communication that is focused on personal or emotional matters. You do not like to hear communication that is too detailed and focused on routine matters. You do not like to hear details until you have been presented with the big picture. You do not like to hear communication that is too practical and focused on the short-term, immediate situation. You do not like to hear communication that includes rigid timelines, schedules, and deadlines and has no room for flexibility.

In your open focus on possibilities, you may confuse others and appear inconstant or unpredictable. If so, you are strongly encouraged to refrain from constantly changing ideas and provide others with the closure they need to take action. In your focus on the large picture, you do not like to repeat yourself and you may not take the time to go into important details. If so, you are strongly encouraged to use specific, concrete language that includes the details others need in order to understand what you're saying. You are also encouraged to use language that is more reflective of the present realities than the future possibilities. In basing your decisions on logical analysis, you may give more corrective than positive feedback and may be surprised when others take it personally. If so, you are strongly encouraged to balance the two and to include more appreciation of others in your communication. As a rule, you need to make a conscious effort to communicate in a planned, organized manner that provides others with the necessary guidance. You also need to take others' feelings and input into consideration when debating ideas or giving feedback.

Accurate!
