| I really haven't gotten much accomplished today :) This morning a friend came over to visit for awhile. When she left, I had to run some books up to Sarah at school. She forgot that she was supposed to turn them in today. Then I came home, ate lunch, and took a nap! Now it's about time to pick up the girls from school. I think I'll take Max with me. They always love seeing him when they come get in the van Tonight mom and I are going to go to one of our little country church's revival. A minister who graduated from high school with my brother is preaching and I'm looking forward to hearing him. Sarah had a softball game last night. Jessica was supposed to play too, but the opposing team cancelled their game. Sarah's team lost by a few points. They played good, though. Sarah has two more games tomorrow night back to back. That will be tough because they're always tired after one game, much less having to immediately play another! Tomorrow I go for a bone scan at 9:30, so say a prayer for me. Then back to the ortho doctor in 2 weeks for results. Greg and I really liked this doctor that I saw on Monday. I plan to start back to work June 3. I know it will be hard, especially at first, but I'm ready. Got to run pick up the girls! Hope you've had a great Wednesday!! | | |
| Good morning! Hope everyone's day has gotten off to a good start. The kids are at school and I'm just here doing odd things around the house. I need to be off doing some errands, but really don't want to get out this morning. No idea why, just being lazy I guess :) Max is keeping me company while I'm home. Lucy is outside playing. I tried to cut Max's hair again yesterday, but he's such a little wiggle worm, I'm not having much luck. I'm going to have to give in and take him to the groomer. He needs a summer haircut anyway. He's so much fun to have around the house. Lucy's pretty much outside all the time now, because she's just too big to have inside anymore. She has NOT been happy about that at all but she's adjusting. We still let her in every now and then to play, though. Both the girls have softball games tonight. Jessica's is here in town and Sarah's is out of town. Looks like mom and I will be taking Sarah to hers and Greg will take Jess to her game. Then on Thursday night we have a repeat, so we'll reverse roles!! Although I think there is a 40% chance of rain today and so far their last 2 games have gotten rained out, so we could have a repeat of that. Hope everyone had a great mother's day! I had a good one. Got to spend the evening with my sister and mom on Saturday, then on Sunday my brother and his family came up and mom came over for supper. Greg grilled hamburgers and hot dogs. I made baked beans, deviled eggs, corn on the cob, and we had chips and dip. It was really good! And Whitney brought strawberry shortcakes for dessert. Yum, yum!! Guess that's about all that's going on here these days. I have a doctor's appointment with an orthopedic surgeon on Monday. I pray that goes well. Hopefully soon I'll be back to work, Lord willing. Have a blessed Tuesday! -Michelle | | |
| Good Wednesday morning! I'm up bright and early this morning- and later in my post you'll see why!! I went to my doctor's appointment yesterday and things went well. I got a steroid shot which made me feel a lot better yesterday evening. I was actually able to go to Jessica's softball game and enjoy myself!! (They won by one point- Go Fusion!!) I'm waiting for a phone call from the nurse to tell me about another appointment they're scheduling for me. My doctor wants me to see another orthopedist in Texarkana this week, so they're doing their best to try to get me in. Also have an appointment scheduled with a rheumatologist but not until July- ughhh!! It's frustrating that it has to take so long! But I am feeling better today, or at least so far this morning. I have to go up to the pharmacy to get a prescription filled later. Hopefully the short term use of steroids will get me back on the mend. Also, we added another addition to our family yesterday!! He's a Shih Tzu named Max and is 3 1/2 months old. Right now he weighs 4 pounds and is a little adorable furball!! Here's a picture of him and Lucy:
Isn't he cute??!! He went with us to the softball game and was the hit of the park! Such a good puppy, too!! Lucy wasn't sure what to think about her new friend. It took a while to get them aquainted, but they're doing great now. They just have to be watched when playing together because Lucy can get a little rough, although she doesn't mean to. She's just a big 40 pound puppy who is excited to have a new playmate!! I've got to see if I can trim Max's hair today. Even with the top pulled up, you can't see his eyes! Better get off this computer and get busy. Hope you have a blessed day! -Michelle
| Well, I'm still not doing great. Having lots of multiple joint pain. I've officially been on medical leave for a week now. Some days are better than others. I had to quit taking my newest medication. It just hurt my stomach so much. So, back to the doctor tomorrow and we'll see what happens then. I would appreciate your continued prayers and I'll let you know how my appointment goes. I haven't done anything much today. We have kid's choir this afternoon after school at our church then Jessica has a game tonight. I've been pacing myself today so I'm able to do both of those things. Yesterday after church we went to Texarkana to find Sarah a dress for her 8th grade graduation and decided to see Spider Man 3. It was almost too much. I thought I was going to have to get up before the movie was over. Sitting that long in one position hurts! But the movie was pretty good though. I haven't posted pics in a while- let me see if I have any new ones yet! Jessica with her coach and up to bat! Go Fusion!!!
My mailbox! Isn't it gorgeous??!!!
And last but not least... LUCY!! We love this pic! Have a great day! Love you all!!
| Just a quick posting until I have time to write more... Please, please remember me in your prayers right now. I am in so much pain physically with my back problems and now joint involvement. I am beyond stressed out with that and all the changes we've had at work (none good). I tried to put in my two week notice because I'm at the point of not being able to handle it anymore, but I was offered a leave instead until my medical problems get straightened out. I'm on new anti-inflammatory medication and waiting for lab results to come back. I'm working until Monday and then going on leave until I feel able to return. Emotionally I'm just not in a good place right now, so I would certainly appreciate your prayers on many levels! | | |
