  • Mourning Green

After a month in Calgary I finally found something green. Unfortunately it was the apron of the barista at Starbucks. I am used to watching the leaves on the deciduous trees turn red, orange, yellow and loose. I feel a sadness watching their bones rattle in the moist fall air. But while the deciduous leaves have gone the evergreens remain tall and vivid green. The evergreens in Calgary stand like last year’s Christmas trees. Patches of them here and there like packs of stray dogs fighting for the only water, noticeably thirsty, showing their ribs. So I wait for spring when the trees will turn green for a week or two before being singed in the sun.

  • ...more than a little embarassed

Well everyone, I have an interview kinda thing on Thursday. It won't be a full service mix but it will be a bit of a trial run.

On a lighter note... I just realized that I took the tour of the wrong church and ALSO read the website of the wrong church. I am more than a little embarassed... But the good thing is that the REAL church is a little smaller and has a mission statement that I like a little bit more. I discovered my error today and subsequently read the entire website of the church. It is SO much like my church back home (North County Christ the King) that I already feel like I will fit there quite nicely. Here's the website of the church if you would like to look at it.

Much love and misses to all of you lovely people.

  • new job?

Well, I just found out that the church where I'm applying is not expecting me because of some miscommunications so I won't be interviewing today. :( I shall indeed keep you all posted.

Well, I just did the unthinkable. I read the entirety of my Xanga blog from beginning to end.

Life has been amazing in the last five years. Time to step into 2008...

  • Wiiblogging

Well, I got the Wii hooked up in my room on my new tv with the Component inputs all giving me that fancy 480p look. So here I am blogging on Xanga thanks to the new Wii software update that allows USB keyboards to be plugged in. It's nice to have a wireless keyboard on the Wii so I can type stuff in whenever necessary. Nothin like surfing the net with a Wiimote.
So here we go, a nifty blog on my TV. So my friends, choose your wiipon for your blogging. I'm using Wii!
