Dear Xangamunity:

I know lots of you have tried this before.  I think I've even tried it before.  The truth of the matter is that I'm thinking of transitioning to an off-line journal.  *GASP*!

There are a couple reasons for this.  First, I noticed the other day when I wrote in my paper journal, I noticed how much more honest I was with myself about things that were happening in my life.  The writing flowed more naturally and uninhibited.  I feel as though many of the things happening in my life right now are things that I would rather have in a different format (read: more private and easier to write).  It's really nothing personal.

Another (similar) reason is that when writing on Xanga, it's almost more of a form of entertainment (for myself and others) than of personal fulfillment.  There's nothing wrong with the former, but at this moment in my life I feel as if I need more of the latter.

I'll still be around from time to time, especially to leave messages for other people and to check in on your lives, but at the moment I need to remove my own life from "the fishbowl."

Thanks for reading!  I'll keep you "posted" () if I decide to change my mind.

Take good care,
heathereileen
