| | I have work to do (as always), but I figure Ill take a moment out of my life to let you all know that I still...exist.
So my bitter-but-hilarious lab leader, "Dinger", today claimed [something along the lines of]
"If you are not rich and white you will live a subpar life; go to
subpar schools, work a subpar job for a subpar wage, etc. etc. etc.
Unless you have an amazing amount of ambition"
It made me feel better about myself, and I am not rich.
Its true, I will attend a subpar university, probably take a subpar job, and yeah--by many standards live a subpar life.
But
1. Not everyone can be a [rich] leader--unless born into it, its
extremely hard work to rise in social and class status. I would fufill
my role in a class society.
2. I dont work hard. If I can accept this fact, then why the hell even dream about the rewards that hard work yield?
Im faced with either two options- Either fight my way to the top,
something that I am not emotionally inclined to do, facing despair
along the way
or
I can accept my "position" in society and at least enjoy what I have.
Fuck Greed. I'm Lazy.
