Macao - Day One

It was a grueling flight alright, one of the worst I ever had. Its my first time you see. But then and again, its budget airline so what you pay is what you get.(In this case, I didn't have too. )

Thank goodness I was so tired the night before plus I had to get up around 4 in the A.M! just to get ready and be at the airport by 6A.M! and I got so tired I slept all the way till we reached Macao. I had trouble squeezing my legs into the seat, so does D. Now I feel bad for those extremely tall people.

Well, Macao isn't much like how I imagined it would be. In fact, its not just about casinos, casinos, and errr. casinos? Its really peaceful and slow and quite a nice place to chill really.

Very few cars on the road, which means NO JAMS! wee! and for once, I love taking the cab! It is just so convenient, you can get cabs(using meters of course) everywhere!

Another way of getting around would be the bus provided by their hotels. Each and every one of them have their own chartered buses to get their in-house guest around for free!.

Okay, maybe not to everywhere. but then it drives you to for instance, the jetty - where you can then get a ferry to go over to HK, or to the China border - in which I've been and more on that on part2, or to the town and even the airport.

That's basically almost everywhere already.

We stayed in Venetian! It is extremely gorgeous! and yet the word gorgeous does no justice to the place! Every single corner will make you go... awww.

I was amazed with the decorations, the lighting especially. everything is like so romantic and so cosy and it just doesn't feel like any hotel.

now have you ever seen a curved escalator? Probably have some fengshui thingy majig going on there. haha! none of us won any money from that casino, so maybe THAT's why!

Beauty isn't it? even the ceilings are nice to look at! There are so much to see in Venetian, which explains why I ended up taking almost 900 pictures in just THREE days! minus the fourth day because, we didn't want to bring the camera out otherwise, really I don't know how much more there would be!

Our first meal. the siu yok is the bomb! yum yum yum! The food at Venetian is freaking expensive! well actually, everything is expensive in Venetian! and when I say expensive I really meant expensive!

Imagine, paying HKD1200 for 8 persons meal? that is like RM600 for siu yok rice okay? well, we don't only had siu yok, we had quite a variety(duck, chicken, char siu and all) but its still expensive don't you think?

@ St' Mark square! with all sort of branded shops! Coach, Gucci, Prada, LV just name it, you'll have it. Ironically, the only thing I could actually afford is Haagen Dazs! so when we feel like spending, we'll go for some ice cream at HD because everything else is just too expensive ..

pretty pretty. beautiful blue sky. D made me believe that the sky changes its weather according to the real weather outside! and I was so stupid to believe him. and to only find out that it was all fake during the third day when it was raining so heavily outside.

oh stupid me! but the colour changes according to the time though. its darker during night time. but only to certain parts of the place.

Gondola rides! No trip to Venice — or The Venetian — would be complete without a graceful and romantic glide down the Grand Canal in an authentic Venetian gondola. siiggghhh

a wishing pond! how corny. see that little pool of coins in the centre? that's a pretty huge stack!

more of St Marks!

One of the many entrance to the casino! Right, one funny thing is that in order to get into our hotel suites we need to walk through the casino every time. because the casino is located right at the centre of the whole of Venetian.

so if you happen to bring a child(who is under 18) you would have to use another way to get into your suite. which isn't really much different. just another entrance 2 levels above.

@ the hotel lobby. so grand can die! no difficulties in getting in conversation with the Hongkies/Macauians/Chinese? they do speak proper English and in a very funny manner too! We just couldn't help talking in their slang! OMG its soooooooo funny!

at the hotel lobby waiting for check ins. trying to pose but failed miserably.

us! just being us!

Geeee, I thought I could wrap day one in ONE post but no! its impossible. will continue part two of day one next! looks like there will be many post to come soon! till then!

Was at the Nuffnang!(both) premier screening of Mamamia and Eagle's Eye last week. Two(2) free movies in a week, oh! I am so blessed! thank you Nuffnang! Mamamia is so so so good! I'm not a fan of musicals but this is really so good, you people should really go watch it! EE's not too bad either, but generally the movie doesn't really make much sense. So, save the questions and just sit back, enjoy the rest of the movie. yup~

hahaha! yea lar, I'm so smallwtf! It was great really, having to meet so many bloggers. I was actually quite intimidated by all of them and seriously when I say bloggers I really meant bloggers! They take pictures almost with everything, anywhere, anytime.

And then there was Euphoria! with the TKC's heehee!

I was so late, by that time I reached some of them wanna leave already. so so so sorry. Anyways, these girls can really shake their booty. hahaha!

With Suat!

Because Angel's face was sooooo red! and I looked like I've not slept for years.

A proper one. Thanks for accompanying me all night long babes!

With Louis, being the only guy(again!)

I don't know about you people, but Euphoria's Mix Tape is pretty hard to blend in with. The dance floor was great though, I like!

Was at Genting for the weekend the celebrate MeiYee's birthday. I reached up the hill when its just about time that girl turn 21. and after a few drinks in Starbucks we had a few rounds in the casino. Well, how did you guessed? hahaha!

Besides getting nicknamed for being the "casino tour guide" I am now officially "miss-are-you-okay" too! Whoever was there probably knows why. Most "sia sue" moment everr.

The gang and the birthday girl. I've yet to upload the pictures from my camera. These are from Edwin's. yea, that tall guy standing right next to me.

Who goes "Chivas Chivas!" all night long! TO ME! sniff sniff!

and I ended up like this! so so so gone.

Jogoya!

My first time(I'm serious!) thanks to Dennis, a new friend who has now stolen the boyfriend from me. I'm jealous! I'm so lonely, I need a new friend. boo! Gimme back my boyfriend!

The infamous LV boutique. that's me. waiting for the buswtf! haha! Oh look! I have a big bumbum!

now, waiting for the line.

anonymous guestwtf! hahaha.

Go nuts for their coconuts! its damn awesomeee!

aren't they adorable! there were so much variety of desserts, and ice creaaam! but the best I had is the guai ling gao!

Overall, the place is okay. food wasn't much like how I expected it to be, well I expected better seriously. the sashimi and sushi was good though and best of all, they serve fresh oyster. my love. hee~

there were a decent variety of food, western, chinese, jap(ofcourse!) and the paper pot soup was nothing extraordinary, the snow crab and mini lobster was alright. but honestly this place is nothing much to shout about. sorry. maybe, my expectations were a bit too high but heyyy, everyone was raving about the place, I ought to think that way.

Oh, we also had some of the member's only dishes but like I said, it was pretty disappointing.

I'd probably go there again, just for their coconuts! Like seriously, those are really good!

Belated birthday post

Welcome to the club Miss ex president!

Dinner was at Chili's OU, yummy yummy food. I had fajitas with loads and loads of portobello mushrooms, OMG its sooo good! I'm never a fan of mushrooms especially those black ones, erm.. you mean all mushrooms are black? Okay, maybe I only like those grey ones? hee~ portobello is an exception! love love! I can have it in all my meals and never get bored of it.

It was just the eight of us, but it was a mad day alright. Had classes till 3 and all us sleepy heads head on to OU and had a few round of Daytona and the very cutesy Japanese three colour game(I seriously had no idea what's it called) which made my hand all sore the day after. haha! but it was fun!! its like being a kid all over again.

Crap! I wish I could stop talking like as if I'm so damn old already! geee!

Some pictures from the night:

half the board. haha.!

with the birthday girl. awwww. she look so cute here!

college buddies. people I worked with for almost 4 years already. yikes! my hair is like, so long already. time to chop chop!

Birthday cake and chocolate brownie

with the rest of the gang. see that happy smiley bottle on the right? damn cute right? haha!

There were more pictures but most of it are from the other camera. These are just some from mine. Anyways, thank you birthday girl for the invitation and hope that you had fun celebrating with us! because I did!

Love,
the ex secretary
