  • How did I miss that?

I just realized that I didn't post a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my daughter, Gwyn, who turned 5 at the end of July. Things were quite busy with getting ready for vacation but she DID have a birthday! What a bad mommy... So here is a

  • Vacation: Friday through Tuesday

We are having a wonderful time on vacation!

On Friday we stayed in a beautiful hotel in Indianapolis, thanks to Bryan's friend from seminary who hooked us up for FREE! We were able to stay all day on Saturday as well, which gave us more time to enjoy the pool and golf.  8Hotel Mini Golf 7Hotel Mini Golf 9Hotel Mini Golf

The kids first flight - off to FLORIDA!

(It was really early so the cabin lights weren't on.)

Back in the pool at Poppi and Mammaw's house. These little fish have spent HOURS in the water!

Mammaw has really spoiled us! She brings out drinks and snacks for us to enjoy around the table or the hot tub. Here is Bryan snacking on some shrimp cocktail.

While we are swimming she warms our towels and spa robes (oh yes, spa robes) in the dryer.

Our sweet ride while here in Florida. The kids always want the top down, especially Gwyn (although you can't really tell from this picture!).

  • Is there something you feel like you are constantly telling your kids not to do?

Around here it's "Don't take apart those Lego's with your teeth!"

Today, Bryan Paul found out why.

Don't be fooled by the smile on his face. He was quite freaked out at first.

I found the tooth wedged between two of the little prong things on a red Lego.

    Yikes.

  • Camp - Day Five

No, you didn't miss anything. There was no update on Camp - Day Four. Sorry. But to make up for it, here are pictures from yesterday and today. Unless something monumental happens, they will be the last...

    001

We met with the teens yesterday for some "Family Time" and then Bryan treated them to some ice cream! Yummy.

At lunch today. Raise the RED!

something, something... GO BLUE! (I can't remember all these cheers!)011 012

The Pioneer Village kids had Water Games this afternoon and had a blast! The weather now is gorgeous and perfect for getting wet! I tried to get shots of everyone but you may have to play a little "I Spy" to figure out who is in some of the pictures...

Can you find all three girls in the picture above (pay no attention to the two little Heller hams...)? Tiffany was so funny. Last night during the service the speaker brought her to the front to help him with something and said he felt so sorry for her because she was missing so many teeth! He didn't know HOW in the world she was able to eat! 024

We have been having a great time here at Northland with your campers. I talked with some of them today who said they are getting ready to come home because they miss you...but the rest are going to stay until the end of the summer. You'll have to come get them in August.

About Me

  • "According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." Philip. 1:20-21 Bryan grew up in Indianapolis and Uruguay. He graduated from NBBC in 1999. I (Elaine) grew up in the Ojai Valley of Southern California. I graduated from NBBC in 2001, and we were married the same day. On March 7th, 2002, we welcomed our first child – Bryan Paul II. We were living in Detroit where Bryan was working on his MDiv. The next year we moved to Cass City, MI where Bryan was an assistant pastor. On July 27th of that year (2003) we had a baby girl, Gwyn Patricia. We are currently serving in Joliet, IL at Calvary Baptist Church were Bryan is an associate. We love this church and are excited about what God is doing here! Now that you are all caught up, here’s what has been going on recently…
