| searching in ignoranceThis is the result of several conversations i've had through out the day, just thinking, and a little G.K Chesterton... "Things will always change, our only stability is in Christ. Our friends will change and our family will grow distant. Look to the Lord, and desire the only comfort one can have in this circumstancial world. He offers stability, love, desire, and fulfillment. As humans, we often worship the creation, and not the Creator. We seek answers in creation, we desire these answers, but in reality, the Creator has all we desire. We search in ignorance and return to our own-self given, lack of purpose. Remember, our only purpose is to glorify God and enjoy him forever! We allow our own reson to complicate things. We desire knowledge, and instead of finding the answer, we consume ourselves in the question. We add more questions and never allow ourselves to rest in the answer. We care not about truth and absolutes, but worry about reason and logic. Without truth, there are no absolutes. Which are the fundementals in any logical, or reasonable person. Without them, we are ignorant. I consume myself with self inflicted turmoil. I can do nothing but turn my eyes upon the Lord, Accept my depravity, and enjoy Him!" "In Christ alone, my hope is found. He is my light, my strength, my song" |
