love = hate?

what's the opposite of love?

no, it's not hate.

love and hate are different sides of the same coin.

the opposite of love is indifference...

(heard from one of my professors this semester)

i read this on someone's site and decided to take the "test"-- what bizarre questions...

The Keys to Your Heart
You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and free.

In love, you feel the most alive when things are straight-forward, and you're told that you're loved.

You'd like to your lover to think you are stylish and alluring.

You would be forced to break up with someone who was emotional, moody, and difficult to please.

Your ideal relationship is open. Both of you can talk about everything... no secrets.

Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.

You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred.

In this moment, you think of love as commitment. Love only works when both people are totally devoted.

life

i'm definitely not alone when i say that life is pretty complex; in that we can't always do what our heart tells us to do-- we can't always act what we feel.  because we are mature adults and there are restraints, rules, social ties, and other people to worry about.  i probably would have not said this 5-10 years ago, but it's different now...

wish it were simple enough to just do as you feel.  say what you feel, say what you mean.  ignore everything that's going on around us, and just be ourselves.  it's so hard to do these days.  i try my best, but it's not just me.  i don't live in a vacuum.  the world does not revolve around me.  time does not pause for me.  neither does anyone else in the world.  so this is growing up.

I actually love the rain.  Getting wet is no good, but if you can stay dry while it's raining, it's the best thing!!

I need to learn how to say "no" as I've overloaded myself and with only one body and 24 hours in the day, some things are just not possible.  I am not taking care of my self and what I need to do for myself.  I need to learn how to be a bit more selfish.  It's not in my nature, though...

2nd year of b-school isn't as "easy" as they say.  It's all my own doing, though.  But it's still fun, and I love every moment of it.  Meeting some new people, which is always something that I love.  Life is too short and the world is too big, so there's lots of interesting cool people to meet.  And lots of people who are not worth your time and energy, so move on people-- there's literally billions of people out there.

Spring Break 2005!! Doing the things I didn't get to do in NYC/School: Sleep, Drive, Play Music, Shop,... How simple my life is sometimes. This semester I got a lot more sleep, but got sick 3 times, so that didn't help much. Even exam time, I was getting at least 5-6 hours of sleep a night-- before the last exam, I even went out to the movies. Now, life would be that much better if I can secure a summer internship...!@#$%
