Hey all! My mom has been bugging me to update this, so I figured I'd finally do it while I have a few moments.
It has truly been March Madness around here.
On the 2nd, Colin participated in a wrestling tournament in Anne Arundel County. My mom and I spent all day pent up in a smelly gym with him and most of his wrestling team. I think most of them placed. Colin placed 3rd in his weight class!
Colin turned 8, Sarah turned 13, Sydni turned 11, and I turned 21! And this was all in a matter of 11 days! I went down to the house and used window markers all over for Colin and Sarah's birthdays. That was a lot of fun for me. On the 8th we did a family / close friend birthday party for Colin, Sarah, and I. I usually don't like to share my birthday, but it was fun with them. On my actual birthday I went out with 2 friends and got my first drink. The next day, Peri and Brian took me out and... that's where I'll leave that story. Haha. I will say that I did not have a hangover, nor did I spend all night hugging the toilet. Peri did get a good laugh though.
Not only were birthdays busy, but we also went on a vacation to Disney World for spring break. My parents, Colin, and I went down on Monday and stayed til Friday afternoon. Grandpop, Grandmom, and the other kids came down on Tuesday and left on Friday morning. We had such a good time and we took a ton of pictures! I added some at the bottom of this post. If you want to see more, I have them all posted on Facebook (just look me up).
Since break, school has gotten a lot busier. I'm glad the end is finally in sight though. I think we only have 6 weeks left (including finals). Most of my days are spent in class, in a school, or lesson planning. It's a bit crazy, but I have managed to find the gym at my apartment complex and paid it a few visits lately. It's quite small, but it's free and convenient (just a walk up a hill).
The only big thing in April is that Paxton turned 1 on the 4th. I can't believe he's already a year old! That weekend we went down to Virginia and did a birthday lunch at the Havekost's. Pax had a cake with blue icing that ended up everywhere! He tried to share his cake, so it ended up on all our faces. I even got an icing kiss!
That's about all of the excitement in my life at the moment. In fact, I need to get to planning a review for my 2nd graders tomorrow. Ah the life of a teacher: plan, teach, plan, teach, plan, teach, plan, teach.
Love you all!
PS - The picture thing is being difficult. I did upload the pictures if you want to go to that part of the page. I will try to find some time to put them in the post soon.
