I'm still here...

Another day...

We bought a new table the other day but it needed to be fixed up a little bit. It's an oak laminate top and had white spindle legs on it. I spent the day sanding the table top and legs, and then re-finishing the table top. I'm just doing a clear varnish over the top and the legs are getting a high-gloss black color.

I'll post a pick when it's done...

Getting ready to go away again

Michael left yesterday to go work for the summer. I leave a week today to go back up north to work. I should really start packing...

Things have been going well here for us. We're still together after nearly a year living together. A bit of a suprise for both of us I think. Our apartment is ever-small but cozy and we have started to go for walks together in the evenings. It's nice because we end up talking about a lot of things that we don't get the chance to any other time. He's been really strong for me this past winter with me trying to settle in and having so many problems at work. He's becoming a wonderful and good man and I'm thankful every day for the love he gives me and for my not giving up on him years ago.

On another note, I have a new baby cousin. His name is Luke and he's so adorable! I wish I could see him in person. Someday, I guess, I'll make it home and have to try to catch up on all I'm missing...
