And Today..... It Begins

MONEY CHALLENGE

Hey People!!!

Thanksgiving is just ONE DAY away, and I'm pumped... I'm ready for some FOOD!!! Not like I'm even one of those people who can sit and eat a lot in one meal, but it'll be an entertaining day nonetheless! Lol! Recently, I've gotten word abt this offer from Bank of America called "Save the Change"... it offers a max of $250 to customers for saving your change with each transaction.... and I'm TOTALLY up for the challenge! The apparent catch-22 is that each time you "Save Change" the money is transfered from your checking to your savings and later reimbursed. The first 3months have a 100% reimbursment guarantee, so my challenge to myself is to get that full amount---$250, which I've calculated will take a total of 252 transactions over a 3 month period!!! I'll blog my daily challenges with this thing until I have managed the entire 252 transactions... watch my money making HAPPEN!!! I'm excited... SO EXCITED!!!

REDEMPTION...

Is a state of mind, a purpose, a place, where every person in this life who sees themselves as a follower of Christ should try to be. Its the extreme point of ecstacy that unites with our creator, frees us from our sins, and allows us perfect peace.... I want my Redemption...

I just finished reading the most amazing book of my life... it told the amazing story of how God allows Karma to pay us back from our sins, give us the chance to repent and save our souls from damnation. It was absolutely incredible, and I'd like to say that this book has somehow changed my life. I can't tell you exactly how I walked upon it, all I know is that once it was in my hands and I became the reader, I was engaged from page 1. Hell sentence one, if you want me to be "politically correct". I felt so many emotions, I cried, I sighed... and my soul felt convicted, it was really THAT GOOD...

Right now, I'm at a place in my life where I'm amazingly happy. If you had asked me this about two weeks ago, I would have given an answer about the future with much less certainty and enthusiasm, but its my steadfast determination and the faith in the BIG MAN upstairs and allows me to admit openly how POWERFUL and WONDERFUL God is...

My birthday was last week, and it was one of the best ever! On the actual day, I got some gifts from a new friend, and the weekend celebration was OFF THA CHAIN! I rented a super stretch limo for me and my 10 closest buds, went for dinner at the *chic* Grand Lux Cafe, partied hard downtown, and ended the eventful night in a gorgeous suite at the Sheraton! I am BLESSED! I was so happy to have been able to celebrate the way I did... and I did it BIG with no regrets!!!

My life is coming back in order, and is about to start again, in full force with no pit stops!!! I'll be starting my MCAT course to prep for the September MCAT tomorrow, and let me not forget to mention that I landed a wonderful job at one of the top Brokerage Firms in the country- Goldmann Sachs! I'll be working as a receptionist and BAWLIN!!! My first REAL job, and its downtown, a place, I'm only VAGUELY familiar with! They made me an offer in less than an hour, and they were sooo nice and sweet!! I can't wait for God to keep working on me and my life, He knows my mind is open to anything. By His grace, next time this year I will be preparing for medical school. It is my dream, and in no time, it will be MY REALITY! I believe it.... I'm going to try to get some reviewing done so that I am somewhat prepared for tomorrow's opener....

WOW!!

Its been a REALLY long time since I wrote in this thing, but today I feel compelled to write... partly because I was looking for some poetry 2 send 2 my lil sister, and upon looking for it, I noticed that I hadn't written in awhile...

At the moment I'm feeling extremely overwhelmed... its less than 2 months to graduation, and my drive to study for exams has become nearly invisible... on top of that, sorority life is CRAZY busy!!! But, one great thing is that SPRING BREAK is next week!!! And I'm hella excited!!! I get to spend my last collegiate spring break with my BFF from diapers, Candace. We'll be going to Padre w/ some of her buddies, I'm excited to experience it all! Lets see, all in all, I've not been as happy as I normally am, and I'm aware that some are beginning to take notice. Its hard to deal because sometimes when the same things continue to occur over and over again, I get so fed up and just want to avoid certain situations altogether... it gets to be so difficult sometimes, seriously!

But there has been a lot of good in my life as well, let me not act like its just been in the dumps... this past weekend I went and spent some time with a guy I met, I'd rather not reveal his identity at the moment, because (1)he is a Baylor student, and (2) I don't really know him that well yet. But the way we met was kinda funny, I'll save that story for another day....

All in all he seems like a really cool sweet guy, we have great conversation, and thats a great start to any kind of relationship (even if its just friendship) when you're gettin to know a person... so we'll see what happens. I'm sure We'll hang in the future, and I'll have more updates, so stay tuned!!
