Ok, so it's been almost six months since I posted and people seem to have given up hope that I'll ever post again.

Not too much going on here, just working and then coming home and doing housework.  My poor crocusesI'm trying to grow things again.  Mom sent me some crocuses to plant in the fall and they actually grew.  It might have something to do with me having John dig a huge hole to till all of the dirt to remove all of the random debris and rocks when we planted them.  So now of course the Ohio weather isn't cooperating and is trying to freeze them all even though last week it was in the 70s.  Also, they only open when I'm at work which makes me sad .

In other news, we'll hopefully be buying a house sometime this year.  We aren't seriously looking yet, but probably will be soon.  For those of you that are also looking, here are some things to look out for.  Sometimes you really wonder what people were thinking.

Yes Rach, I know it's been a long time.  There really hasn't been too much exciting going on around here.  I'm working part time and John is still working long hours and going to school two nights a week.  When he is home he spends a lot of time doing homework.

In continuing with our water troubles (we had a overflowing toilet, a leaking garbage disposal, and a plugged up washer drain at our old apartment for those of you who didn't know), our new place now has a leaky roof.  At least it isn't our problem, we're just hoping they don't want to tear the place apart to fix it.

In other news, the door actually closes in the office, which is pretty cool.  I think it has something to do with the house settling or the humidity or something like that.

My tomatoes did finally grow, but they are still green and I think they'll be staying that way due to the lack of sun at this time of year...so sad.

Work is going pretty well.  I like only working two days a week.  I don't think that's going to last much longer though.  Extended 1040s are due in two weeks and all of the payroll quarterly returns are due at the end of October and our annual tax seminar is two days after that so I should have plenty to do.  Then there are all the boxes of stuff from a new client dating back to 1996 and they haven't filed a tax return since 2002...that ought to be fun.

The funny things only happen to John.  He was in a store getting groceries for me  after work one day and a little kid pointed at him and said, "Look mommy, an army man.".  I guess that's what happens when you wear BDU's, everyone assumes you're in the army.  I thought it was funny anyway.

See.  I told you my life was boring .

Yay!  Flowers. They said it wouldn't happen, but somehow my poor little tomato plant has gotten a few flowers on it.  You can just barely see them in the picture (this is why John takes the pictures in the family, at least the ones in focus Who cares if it's like a month behind everyone else's tomatoes.  I think it's because the temperature has finally dropped below ninety.  All the other things I'm trying to grow seem to like this weather as well.  Now if only I can keep the various pests from eating all the leaves and I water it like crazy I might get a tomato or two of my own.

In other news there's a cricket or some other noisy bug in the drain pipe for the air conditioner...at least that's where I think it is.  I hope it dies soon, or leaves because it's going to drive me nuts.  Anyone know of any good ways to get rid of bugs you can't see?

HouseSo I finally decided to put a picture of our apartment on here.  Not too much going on around here.  I'm still trying to grow some flowers out front and grass out back.  This 90+ degree weather isn't realy helping me out too much though.  We did have some rain yesterday though; along with 73 mph winds that moved two cargo planes on the runway.  We can't let St. Louis have all the fun with the hight winds and tornados.
