im tired...going to sleep...maybe ill update again in another few months....
So....I have a favor to ask of everybody. My roommate of the last 3 years, Josh Andre, is doing something insane, and asked me to help him raise support. For the last few months he's been planning a trip that will begin May 9. He will be hiking, on his own, from Mexico to Canada; a hike that will take somewhere between 4-6 months. While preparing, he decided that he wanted to add purpose to his trip. You can read more about it at his site (link below), but he ultimately stumbled upon a way in which he could partner with Worldvision to raise money for HIV/AIDS in Africa.
Just to clarify, this is NOT raising money to fund his trip. All of his supplies are already purchased. You could think of it more as a form of sponsorship. As he notes on the page, 87% of all of the money raised will go directly to aid (food and health care packages). PLEASE consider giving, and especially praying for him as there are obvious dangers in such a hike.
EDIT: so thanks to the awesome gf, im no longer ipod-less
im not one of those people that is more likely to be seen without clothes than without their ipod, but i do use them very frequently...
END EDIT!
quick update...
- so it's over...policy project...3,500 pages of glory (it's all printed double-sided btw, so that's 2 pages per sheet of paper).
yeah, the coke bottle's there in the first picture for perspective. they were so big that we had to bind them in the vellum binding, not the comb binding. OVER!
- thanks for the birthday wishes everybody (on facebook, haha)
- GRADUATION in 12 days. and....the graduation speaker will be....
that's right! the FIRST LADY! Laura Bush is going to be our graduation speaker. yeah, it kinda sucks that they told us last minute that we would only be given 12 tickets for our friends/family members, but that's going to be pretty neat having her speak at graduation. almost out of here!
the pepperdine days are almost over....
i will miss it, but i am definitely ready to be finished...
next chapter starting soon...
official start date: 8/14/07. my first week of work will be national firm-wide training...in ORLANDO at DISNEYWORLD. haha...
