| Man. I just went back through years of Xanga entries. It's astonishing how much has happened to me in just a few years. How many people have come in and out of my life... How I've matured... How my priorities have changed... Just crazy. I'm about to graduate from college. Just 3 months from now.
Updates: I still have my amazing boyfriend, John. We're pretty tight
I have a 6.5 month old kitten (that I got in April when he was 6 weeks old!), Bogart or "Bo." He's a feisty little fella, but he definitely has his sweet moments, too.
I was living with my lifelong best friend, Sarah, up until the end of July, when she moved back to Michigan for grad school.
But now I'm living with my friend and co-worker, Laura. We have been getting along quite famously.
I still want to be a graphic designer. I'm still working at Technician. I'm still a design editor. I had an ad design internship in Chapel Hill over the summer. I am currently job hunting!
I have more free time these days, as I'm only taking two classes and have two part time jobs. I know that may not sound like it affords much free time, but compared to the past few semesters, it's certainly nice. I don't know if that means I'll start writing in this thing more again... I guess time will tell!

| It is over. Finally. Good God, that was the worst scholastic period of my life -- bar none. I don't think I did as well as I'd hoped, but I'm fairly certain I'll get at least a C in both classes.
I'm pretty sure I never want to take summer classes EVER AGAIN. I'm serious. I'll just take another semester or two.
I love my new apartment! And my new roommate (of course, the best friend! ) And the fact that my boyfriend lives 5 minutes away instead of 25!
Life for the rest of the summer will be good. Making money, catching up on design plans, catching up with the human race... you know.
Before too long it'll be back to classes, but I know I can handle those. And back to work... which I'm oddly not too excited about. Normally I would be. Maybe by the time it comes around I'll be okay with it. I'm pretty sure this will be my last year at Technician... even if I don't graduate... and if I can get another -- preferrably better paying -- job.
I'm excited I GET TO UNPACK AND DO LAUNDRY NOW! I HAVE TIME. TIME!
And people are coming over tonight for wine and cheese and The Sandlot -- yay, fun!

| Summer school is not just intense. IT'S SUPER INTENSE. Yeah, yeah... you're thinking: Huh? Shakespeare -- not so bad... Ancient world history -- just memorization!
THINK AGAIN. Somehow I'm supposed to have, like 48 extra hours in my week just for reading. Last weekend, Saturday and Sunday were dedicated to reading and I barely made a dent in the reading assignments that have piled up. IT JUST ALL GOES SO FAST!
I never get this stressed, good gosh. It's getting reeeeally old. I think I just have to take one more regular exam, write a 10-pager and a 3-4 pager for Shakespeare, and take the finals... OH. And do another 400 pages of reading or so. I swear my eyes are going to fall right out of my head.
I'm getting the same amount of sleep now that I do during the regular semester -- and that is not not not a good thing. Blah.
At least I have the best freaking boyfriend in the world, who seems to know exactly what to say or do to make things better For example: yesterday I came home around 12:15 from a long day at work and on my dresser, I found these!
Totally made my week. They're so pretty And this weekend, he's helping me move (INTO MY NEW APARTMENT -- I'M SO EXCITED!) AND taking me to his favorite spot in the mountains for a day! And mid-next week he's kidnapping me and taking me to the beach with his family. What a guy, what a guy. I hope I will be able to leave the stress behind... Okay, I seriously need to get ready to go to these loathesome classes... | | |
| John's been on a cruise with his family for a weeeek. I miss him very much. He gets back today!! I get to see him tomorrow
Sarah and I dominated beer pong last night. We won 4 games, which was at least 2 more than anyone else. Man, I was pretty gone. I was still drunk when I woke up this morning and missed my 9 o'clock haiku slam with Sarah and Emily Bummed about that. We're supposed to play again tonight, but I don't wanna get wasted again. Being good at beer pong isn't exactly a blessing!
Kay, time to shower and eat and clean some and who knows?
