Sunday afternoon the family is all home together (all nine of us). We also have five neighbor girls ages 6 to 10 over. The young kids are playing in the basement together. Lisa age 9 comes up from the basement and asks, "Is anyone here?". LOL Only 14 people in a 2400 sq. ft. house.

Life seems to be going so fast. Will it ever slow down? Is this a symptom of homeschooling a large family? In spite of it I am learning to enjoy the important things.
The kids are very entertaining. I would rather watch my 8 month old pull her self up to a standing position and then hear her laugh when I applaud and praise her than watch a movie. She is way more entertaining. And it is so cool to have taught her what "no" means and practice it on her. She really understands.

My heart melts when my four year old son says "Mom, that skirt is beautiful." (He is going to make his wife very happy some day). I love watching him with his baby sister. He is so protective of her. What a joy it is when my 15 year old son takes care of his baby sister. I could go on and on. Yes, life seems to be passing quickly; but there is so much joy in it. I am so blessed. I love my husband and our children. I count it all joy.

Life is slowly returning to 'normal' around here. Everyone is pretty much healed from the pneumonia.

The Lord willing we will be back to 'schooling' next week. It has been at least a couple of months since we have had consistent 'schooling'. In spite of it the Lord opens my eyes to those moments when the kids are learning. It isn't systematic and there is no 'curriculum' other than God's curriculum - talking with our kids as we go about the day.

Give thanks in all circumstances. Thank you God for the trials of the last few months and growing us to be more like Jesus.

God continues to teach me patience. Danielle is now healed from pneumonia and mono. Praise God. He is so good. My dear husband, 15 year old son, 11 year old daughter and I all have pneumonia now. This means that Danielle is keeping the house from falling completely apart Once again I am reminded to trust God with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding. He provides for all my needs. To God be the Glory.

I've been sitting here for about two hours getting lost in the blogosphere. I have read many encouraging posts from people who love THE God of creation. Young people, people my age and ages in between.

I am very encouraged by the posts of the young. You young believers really brighten my day (or night). Keep running the race and fighting the good fight.

To everyone else- You encourage me also.

I would love to hear from much older folks. Say in their 60s, 70s or older? Anyone know of bloggers in that age group? Hmm. Maybe I should try to get my dad blogging. Wonder if he would be up to it? Maybe I should start a campaign to get the older generation blogging.

If you haven't already done so, check out Karen's site. She is putting together an on-line convention and looking for "speakers" of all ages. I find encouragement on her site every day in my duties as a home educating mom to my seven super kids.
