If you don't read our website but get our xanga journal updates in your email, then you should probably draw your attention to the simple fact that nessarose is no longer a band. We found that it is really easy to make a band fully about themselves when all they really want to do is write songs that people like. Well the problem with this matter is that most of us had that mind set and not the mind set of listening to God. The band started on the principles of playing music for and listening to God. We can now say that we have reached the end of that process, where God has asked us (Adam, Eric, Jason, John and Ryan) to step down from nessarose.

Well, I must say that nothing has really been going as planned for nessarose. We have simply not had the time to work on our ministry due to college, jobs and relationships. In speaking for all of us, I can say  that it deeply saddens our hearts to tell you that nessarose will no longer be playing music.

.....Well you know I atleast had to try and scare you, being that nothing exciting has happend in the nessarose camp for a good 2 months. However, I am excited to say that Eric and I have written 2 new songs over this past week, but we have not been able to show the rest of the guys. The new songs are, in our opinion, going to be good. Jason also has many different ideas that I can not wait to hear. Please continue to pray for us. We have major plans for this summer and we realize that we will not be able to get there if we dont have help from you guys, and help from above. Oh and please be patient with us....Thanks.

-Adam

(On a sidenote): I love you all and must say that I have realized so much over the months of Feburary and March.  I have taken so many things for granted in life and have not realized it until now. I am sorry to say that my actions, sometimes, do not show a love that conquers all. God is however, showing me what is real and what mountains I will be moving in 2004. I will eventually put some poetry pieces on this journal that express some of the things I have been realizing over the past few months. Thank you friends who have prayed for me and love me; your love means the most to me in times like these.

It's been a while.  We have no news, we're not doing anything right now.  We're supposed to be writing and practicing and whatnot, but we don't have much time.  Anyway, I hope you guys can be patient and wait for us to get things together.  Until then here's a poem by our friend T.J. Powell, I think it's pretty awesome........enjoy.

City in your eyes

I peer before me

And what I see

Your captivating countenance

My heart has wings and emotions dance

Revealing that which hides inside

Passion enduring true when tried

Reflected now like in liquid glass

Reflections more than photographs

Completely seen, nothing to lack

In these eyes I’m gazing back

Through the doubt

Through the night

Like stars so bright

Or city lights

Embraced like the kisses

That romances hold

Lights of amber

Stars of gold

Covering past

Scars of old

Burning bright shining new

The past is past and now is through

I see a city in these eyes

The grandeur takes me by surprise

Unaware that it did exist

Into darkness I am whisked

Taken in by loves first kiss

Into that which I do not know

The only place I wish to go

To live life by the city lights

And spend my days in city nights

Forty stories half an inch high

Stretching sight into the sky

Sidewalks swim and streets roll on

Reality is all but gone

Away the agony of another day

Leave me fallen where I lay

On pillows peering in these eyes

Into a place that never dies

This cityscape has taken me

To the only place that I am free

Where in loving eyes I see

The better things that live in me

So this weekend was alot of fun. I dont think I have ever seen wbcb so tight. They really are getting better with every show they play. As far as nessarose, we are currently going to be taking  a break from shows and engaging in what most people call, "the writing process." This consists of new and old material. We are really excited right now because we believe that God has revealed so much over this past weekend. Hopefully every thing that God plans for this band will bring you to worship him, or will bring you to know him in some way. And as a final plea, I ask that you would please pray for us as we listen to what God's will is for this band.

We're no good at being on hiatus. That's right. We're playing another show this Friday with our buddies in With Blood. It's at New Life Baptist Church in Henry, and admission is $3,and it starts at 8:00. This show is to raise money for With Blood Comes Beauty to get a record out,and we've all been waiting a long time for that. They also need an alternator for Black Death,so bring all of your friends and wallets,or I'll stab you in the face... And then we're on hiatus... For real this time... No,seriously.
