In Which It is Over

Sorry, I'm not here anymore. Nor will I return or find someplace new to go. I'm done, I'm through, I'm gone.

The good news first: not only are my brother and good friend, Melody, getting married this year, but now my dear friend Katie is as well. Congrats to all of you!

Now the bad news: my grandmother's health is continuing to decline rapidly; my uncle, whom I learn just recently has been diagnosed with cancer, has been told there is nothing that can be done; and a group of people at my church (that is to say, God's church that I attend) are doing their damnedest to remove the pastor for purely selfish reasons by sinfully horrid methods, all the while claiming to be the only ones trying to "save" the church.

Too much sorrow is combating the good stuff. I can only pray for God's grace and peace. I feel defeated somehow. Please, pray for these things, too. The more prayer lifted the better.

So, that was disappointing. I got home from dull design class, gleefully aware that Naruto ep. 170 and ch. 292 should have finished downloading and were waiting for my viewing pleasure. But, ep. 170 turns out to still be part of the filler arc, and was part of a smaller arc, and I was left confused. See, I've only seen up to ep.87 and including ep. 101. Now I have seen ep. 170 as well, but I have a huge gap to fill! Maybe... hm... *schemes*

Then I open the .zip file with ch. 292... only to find it's corrupted! No Naruto for me! Even less Kakashi... I am sad.

Other than that... POWER! I HAVE POWER!

In Which What I Did Today Comes Up...

So... how was today spent, you (didn't) ask? Well, allow me to tell you! Today started at an hour that shouldn't exist (8:25 am) with me getting out of bed to get ready for the day before the city shut off the water for maintenance. Something tells me, though. I should be getting up that early to begin with. I feel like more of my day was used.

After that I headed off for campus to take my first astronomy exam and did as well as I hoped. Got a B. Woo. Then I came back home, vegged, and return to campus for my first ICC meeting. And my last, ironically.

Student Commission has been dissolved (by the students) and ICC is no longer, uh... present is the only word I can think of. What does that mean for the newly appointed ICC rep? I get to go to meeting on Thursdays instead. That's right, they implemented a new form of meeting that's suppose to be the presidents, but since ours works during that time, my position is being remade to the person going there in her stead. Yay.

*shrugs* Just makes me think even less of politics. I'll be there for my club, though. That's why I volunteered in the first place, right? Here's to bending the system.

Oh, and right now I'm skipping my design class. I cannot drive back to campus yet again today. I will hurt something.

*laughs* I've turned into such a bad student.

*Edit*

I figured I maybe should mention that my club is working with the current Japanese instructor to get that course upgraded from Community Ed to a credited course. Also, there's talk of trying to get guest speakers to come to the college... namely Fred Gallagher. Nya-hah.
