Off-the-wall request

In decorating my office, I'm wanted to incorporate some altered letters spelling out fun words.  The problem, I have a phobia of actually altering said letters.  I'd love to find someone I can order from.  Feel free to point me in the directions of websites, ebay auctions, or artists I can contact about this!  I'll be eternally grateful!

Nine months???

How did that happen?  Can't believe Thomas is 9 months today.  Also can't believe he STILL gets me up way too many times a night to mention.  He's lucky he's so darn cute.

Took this today... the only one that came out since he is major wiggle pants and cranky at the time too... but I love it... adore it... will probably scrap it at least 5 times.  He really would have made a beautiful girl, dontcha think??

WHERE did this week go?

I'm always amazed at how quickly these weeks seem to fly by.   I'm really beginning to face realty that summer WILL eventually come to an end, and my kids WILL be starting school.  I'm excited for them, excited for me and the littles that will get to do all sorts of fun littles stuff... but I still have a lump in my throat thinking about not being with them for the whole entire day!

Samuel had his kindergarten physical yesterday, he was the last of the kids to get theirs for school... I guess that's why it's particularly hitting me today.  That mommy guilt starts kicking in... "am I really doing the right thing??"  I know we are though, without a doubt.

Ahhh... I'm sure it'll be a distant memory tomorrow when they are quarrelling over something...

Finally finishing up my office... it's only been, oh, a YEAR we've been here.  New furniture is here and we had the window measured today for the shutters.  Hopefully can take some time this weekend and actually get my stuff out of boxes and into all my new GLORIOUS space!  And the beauty is... no more school papers that need graded will crowd it out... or oodles of teacher's manuals.  :::sniffle:::

OH.... I do have more upbeat and GOOD news... I've been asked to join another design team!  I can't tell you how completely FLATTERING this is!  Just an honor!!  And then to get to work with such fabulous women... HEAVEN!

So who??  The fabulous Carrie Stephens of Fishscraps!  Worked on two layouts so far (with more in the works as I type)... both with the same kit, both completely different styles!  Yup, this is a good gig, and I'm so very greatful to be part of Carrie's wonderful team!!

Officially a Geek!

And no comments of "as if there were any question"!!

So the anniversary was Friday... and Bill never believes me when I tell him what I want.  Most girls, I guess, want jewelry or the like... not me, skip the jeweler, take me to Best Buy!

So, here's my new baby:

The Epson Perfection 4180 Photo Scanner!!!  Mwahahaha!!  It's alllll mine!!  Watch out now... I could never leave my office... the computer chair could become permantly attached to my bum!

And I don't even mind that Bill says I'm "cheap" AND "easy"...

Here's what I got Bill... the watch he's been wanting:

Don't ask me what it does (and it's a lot more than just tell time)... but it took him about 30 minutes, with a CD-ROM that came with it, narrating him through, to set the darn thing!  It's a Skyhawk something or other... Blue Angels addition.. which are the planes he worked on many many moons ago in school when he first joined the Marines.

We are such a perfect geeky match!
