Back From College For The Weekend

Yup. You heard right. I'm back, yippe do. I had about 140 emails at Yahoo - which isn't so bad compared to the 200+ that some people talk about getting. But I'm on daily digests and I don't know if they are as well. Hrm. That would suck if they got 200 daily digests per day. O.O

Anyway, I'm gonna go. Mucho love all around!

What's new today?

Well, I have so much to do! I have to call my dad, make sure he sent the money order yesterday (so I'll have money to go to college tomorrow or Sunday). If he didn't, I'm in deep shit. I mean the kind you can't get out of because...I won't have the money to drive down there AND buy my books. Hell, I'm not even sure I'll have the money to buy my books IF the money he's supposed to be sending gets here on time. And that really, really blows, you know? No, I'm NOT going to complain about it anymore here... Grr.

Let's see...I need to call my roommate and see what all she's planning on bringing so I can adjust my luggage load to whatever she's not...or...at least work out who's bringing what. Or whatever. Maybe I shouldn't even deal with it. But, fuck, it would suck if we both brought TVs, VCRs, DVD players, etc.... So, yeah. That's next on my agenda.

I wrote a couple of paragraphs for my FQF story - I think I'm going to call it (Why We Do) The Things We Do. I really didn't get much done because I'm so FRICKIN' busy! I had 40+ emails in my inbox today and I've come to the conclusion that I'm just a member of too many groups. AND I might have to change my email settings on Y! Groups back to "Daily Digest" instead of "Individual Emails".

On that topic, I joined several new groups today! Yay! All of them are Furuba (Fruits Basket) orientated, but they're all uber cool. The first is Furuba Alternative Dream. It's a yaoi/yuri list for the anime. Cool, ne? The other is Furuba Yaoi. I think that's pretty self-explanatory, don't you? The other two I joined are HaruXKyou and KyouXYuki. Yeah, I been a busy girl today.

I'm going to show you all something that I got in a message from one of my Furuba groups...proof that Akito is female. Yup...just what I said. Wowies. But he - err, she - is still hot. Definitely.

What else has happened lately? Well...my character for the RPG Serpents Fire was approved. I'm going to be Severus Snape, Potions master. Heh heh heh. My LJ for that RP is, and I believe the link is right, potions_adept. That is a Snape-esque name, right? I hope so... FYI, Serpent's Fire is a Live Journal RPG about...well...check it out if you're into HP RPGs circa Harry's time. You'll enjoy it. And, yeah, I know. I don't have any clue of how to RP in a LJ RPG...but I'm gonna learn! Yippee! I'll probably have Severus' profile up on my website sometime in the nearby future for browsing and ahhing and oooing. Or just curious passerbys and others from the RPG who are interested.

Speaking of my website, I got around to making an update yesterday. Go me! I feel so happy. I'm not satisfied with the layout anymore...there are some things I would like to change, but I'll have to live with it for now. Link: Slasher-Style

Well...I have two more days on my free Premium account, so...soon I'll be saying buh-bye to my pretty layout here. Hopefully I'll get premium sometime, but that won't be until I have some money in August. LOL

Anyway...bye for now! I know I haven't done a quiz in forever, but my free time is getting smaller and smaller...so...hopefully I'll be able to do some sometime soon!

Nothing new, really...just trying to read all my emails before I start working on getting ready for college.

You know something that really bothers me, though... When you start reading a fanfic and there are certain things you think you're going to see - A) the couple is one you really like and don't get to see much of or B) the plot is something you've been wanting to read for a while... Well, guess what? Karen hit that one again. Grr...and here I had been hoping... But, oh well. It was a really good story, and if I hadn't had misconceptions about it I would have enjoyed it. Umm. So anyway, I'll probably go back and read it all the way (since I just clicked the X button) sometimes. But, DAMN, there are so many good stories that I want to read that I'm not sure I'll ever get through them all!

I...err...against my Muses' better judgement, claimed two challenges for the Weasley Slash FQF. They are:

#14 One of the Weasleys get sick or injured (your choice) and another Weasley either: a. Is determined that they will be the one to take care of them, or b. Is forced to. Lol. Either one would be interesting, and perhaps if you went with a they could have a 'reason' for wanting to take care of the other. [Submitted by Rebbie]
#15 Any combination of Weasley boys (Fred and George, Bill and Charlie, Percy and Bill etc.) Notice how little Ronkins is growing up, and becoming quite attractive. So, they decide to have a race on who can seal the deal with Ron first. How does it end? Do they both deflower Ron? Does one Win over the other? Do both lose? Or is Ron the one playing them? I plan on making this a longer story, so...hopefully things'll go my way. I have a feeling That Sly, Summer Wind will be left alone for a while, though. =(

I think I'm starting to get really bad about writing in these thingys. The good news for today is that I have been working on my stories. Yes, plural. Both That Sly, Summer Wind and another story, a one-shot, that I think I'm going to call Acronym, but the title could change. I'm so happy about it, though, because...it's about my all-time fave couple...and I'm glad because I've never written about them before. It always felt like I was trying to break into the realm of something I hold so dear and I didn't want to spoil it. ::laughs:: I'm still like that with Sirius/Remus, though. It's too sacred for me to touch. X.X

Other than that...no real news, no quizzes...but I'm going to get back to my stories. So...later!
