I was eating dinner the other night, and before I started, I realized how well-balanced my plate was, color-wise. So I took a picture:

My plate is decorated by: Rosemary Lemon Chicken, Tomato Salad, Mustard Greens, Roasted Pumpkin. Except for the Chicken, everything is from my uncle's garden! Even the spices and lemons! mmmm I love food.

I am in Pumpkin Heaven

My uncle grows pumpkins!!!! Who knew?! I was never here during this time....

I am eating about half to three-fourths of a pumpkin per week myself. Its soooo goood.

Mmm, pumkin at lunch and dinner. Fried pumkin. Roasted Pumkin...

After I take the GRE's I am making pumkin pie and pumkin pasta.

I love pumkin....

O Bless the Lord
O Bless the Lord the God of our salvation
Rock of strength and a refuge sure
O Bless the Lord the God of every nation
Over all the earth.
O Bless the Lord highest heavens above
Bless the Lord, glorify his name
Sun in the day, moon and stars in the night
worship and praise!
Let all the earth sing with joy to the lord
All the seas, creatures of the deep!
Mountains and hills, birds and beasts in the fields
worship and praise!
Let all the nations on earth bless the Lord,
For the Lord governs all the world
Let all the rulers on earth bless the lord
worship and praise!

I really like this song.

God's Plan to Make Sicilian Mosquitos Fatigued and then...

So despite the fact that it is the end of October, it has been really warm here in Sicilia. And the mosquitos are tiny and terrible.

Most people aren't being bitten anymore. But not me. If I'm wearing pants and socks and ling sleeves, I get bitten on my fingers. If I'm wearing a dress, as now, I am bitten all over my legs. Last night, in the span of five minutes, I was bitten 8 times  -- 4 bites per leg. The amazing part is that each bite had its corresponding twin on the next leg.

If I am in the room, no one else will get bitten. I use bug spray and all sort of things, but still, I am bitten.

So yesterday morning, when I couldn't sleep because the bell tower rang and it rings every 15 minutes and it was on the fritz due to daylight savings time, and I was trying so hard to fall asleep that all I could do was think about dumb things, like an article I have to write and my itchy legs, I thought about why I get so many mosquito bites.

Prepare yourselves as the science/bug world is about to be revolutionized.

Since mosquitos are so darn annoying, God wants to get rid of them. Here is what I theorized his plan must be:
All mosquitos come bite Tina because she emits a special odor, smell-able only to mosquitos that I shall call, TinaSmell3000. TinaSmell3000 must also be the reason why once they bite, they can't get enough of the good stuff. Once they bite Tina and suck her blood laced with TinaSmell3000, they go away. Unbeknownst to them, Tina has also passed on Chronic Fatigue. Mwahahhah.

Mosquitos return home, albeit much slower than they arrived, and then are *so* sleepy, fatigued if you will, that they can no longer fly around and bite other people, they forget to reproduce, and slowly but surely, Sicily will be free of those pesky bastards.

And well, I guess I can't complain if I am helping to eradicate those buggers.
