| being unemployed has afforded me the opportunity to gawk over plastic surgery gone wrong. the poor reception in college shielded me from silicone injected air heads people refer to as celebrities; instead, i saw real people (students) not airbrushed pictures, special lighting, makeup, plastic surgery etc.
although im in no way the flawless idealistic image the media and society has whacked me over the head with in my short time of existance, i take pride in the fact that im 100% real human.
here are some interesting links for your amusement. ahhh schadefreude:

if you havent guessed already, i strongly disagree with plastic surgery. there are more costs than benefits. the only reasons to go through with it would include: birth defects or injuries from accidents such as severe burns. i feel kinda sad when people feel they need to get plastic surgery because they are inadequate. i think everyone is beautiful in their own unique natural way. just ask joe ( who has said many times in the past "you have a fucked up idea of what is hot") damns yo.
anyways, this has been a late nite rambling sponsered by tom yum ramen. mmm spicy.

| i declare today asian american day!
today i had the pleasure of meeting martin yan from yan can cook!!!! hes awesome. i got an autograph and even had the opportunity to try some of his cooking. the man is simply amazing. he was able to remove the skin and cut a whole chicken in less than 18 seconds. sugoi!!! he was really funny and easy going too which is always a plus.
i also saw margaret cho doing stand up comedy tonight!! she was hilarious. and wasnt overly vulgar as per usual. it was more bush bashing and criticism on gay marriages. good times. extra points for pole dancing.
and...the day was made much better with lucys shabu shabu.
wheeee!
