| I wonder if anyone will notice this is in operation.
Love vs. individuality...I've been asking people this question all night, and while there are those who support individuality, lots still support love. I don't know which is more important, nor do I know what they mean to me. Tonight, I find these two values in utter conflict, and I have no clue what to value more.
On the other hand, I hate being used and never thanked. I hate being in a one-sided relationship where no one appreciates my kindness or help. I'm tired of it, and I'm not going to take being used like a rag anymore. I will stand up for myself, whether it's making people say "thank you" or just not helping kids who just mooch off me. I need to be firm on this.

| Some little kids looked at my funny last night when I was at Borders buying Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. God, such meanies.
On a more serious note.
I was thinking a little about China's government and in the midst of realizing how hopeless and cowardly the people of that country are, I realized that civil war was kind of necessary in the world. Nobody likes war, that's true, and most people have a pretty simple understanding of war: bad, avoid please.
What troubles me is how hard it is to avoid it.
I'm sorry if I cause any traumatic moments, but remember US History I when we learned about the Civil War *and 8th grade, and 7th grade, and...*? How is that war unavoidable? The circumstances weren't too hot. Both the North and South sought to rule the then-United States on its own beliefs through the government. Then South Carolina decided to secede, along with the rest of the southern states.
Now look. We have two half-countries, and the biggest problem that brought along this Civil War was that neither could operate without the other. I think it's a key part in a lot of the civil wars of history. Economically and militarily, neither the North nor South could have made it in the world. So it was the ultimatum foisted upon them by circumstances: either rejoin or die. Considering rejoining peacefully was shameful and would only give rebirth to the hellish fights in Congress, both sides went to war. It was, in this case, unavoidable.
China needs something like that.

| Who knew that a lousy site like HCschedules could've made me feel like such crap so early in the morning?
On a random whim, I hate you Mr. R. Schneebeli. Simply for your name.

| Isn't it sad how I recognized Manhatten from the air because of its grid system around Central Park, information I learned from US History I?
It's good to be back.

Edit: Did anyone get this invitation for an interview for college scholar-crap to take place yesterday and today? Apparently, I've missed it. | | |
