| It's rare for me to come out in public to declare that someone is hot.
But check him out. Brandon Routh, the new Superman, is hot.
Shoutout to my friend AzN534, who shared the wealth of press screening
tickets tonight. Granted, I was a little bothered when I saw Superman
on Extra just 45 mins before the movie started. He has this uneven hill
on both sides above his lip, kinda where a moustache would end if one
was there. During the movie, it probably got retouched cos I only
caught it in one scene. What does do it for me is for me isn't the
chin, it's not the height...It's the shoulders and the dark hair/blue
eye combination. That's my kryptonite....hee hee hee Yes, I know I sound like I'm in middle school.

| Connection: n. A
connection is an idea that readers get when they are reading that
relates something in the text to themselves, the world, or to another
text. There are 3 main types of connections: text-to-self,
text-to-world, and text-to-text.
My kids had to make text-to-self connections one night for homework.
They brought in their connections next day on a post-it. Here are the
top 8...
8. It reminds me that I once sneezed a big, big sneeze.
7. When my little brother was a baby, my parents were so busy that I had nothing to do.
6. I am not like Ruby because I don't like putting on dresses for fun.
5. I would not run away because I would not have anything to eat, play and do.
4. When I swim underwater I don't see so much sea creatures!
3. Sometimes my friends freak me out too.
2. I stare at people when they hit me until they said, "Sorry".
And the grand #1, although it's actually not a connection...
1. Snow White should stop crying and just live with the kind animals.

| Just when you think Chinese people can't get any funkier with their
taste buds... I guess you could argue she's Mongolian so she's not really Chinese. But don't all Asians descend from the Chinese anyway?

Confession: I've plucked grass and chomped on it before. Curious child was I.
