Hello fellow Canadians!

It's that time of the year again.  That's right, I'm coming back for a one week visit to Toronto, this time with my lady!  My dates will be from May 6 to May 15.

I'm looking forward to doing the things that I so miss, like Congee Wong, bubble tea, etc.  I'm looking forward to showing my lady what what Toronto is all about, with visits to the CN Tower, all-you-can-eat ribs at Montana's, wings nights with maybe a playoff basketball game at your favourite bar, shopping at Pacific Mall and others, a trip to Niagara Falls and casino, Korean barbecue, barbecue in a park, the possibilities are endless!

I want to meet every one of you.  However, I need your help to maximize the efficiency during my stay.  Let me know what dates you can be free (day or night).  Let me know if something interests you in particular.  Let me know if you think there's an activity that my Miss might enjoy.  Better yet, let me know if you can help me organize an event, an outing between a group of friends.  It's a little tough for me, seeing as how I'm all the way here in Paris....

Pass the word.  Hope to hear from you all soon,
Blaise

Would they just trade Vince Carter already?  He's pathetic.

The Raptors are 6-8, no thanks to him.  His stats are down, waaaaay down from his career totals.  Scoring at 16 points per game, averaging 3 (THREE) freethrows per game.  Minutes, boards, assists all down.

This guy is washed up.  He is not a winner.  He just takes his shots, boards, and assists when it's easy.  At no point does Vince dominate a game anymore.  Ever since the knee injury, it's been over.  I'm not okay with paying max money for a player who settles only for jump shots.

I mean, look at what Kobe Bryant is doing in LA.  Almost 30 points per game, many boards and assists.  Now that is impressive.  On the court, Kobe is damn good.  He dictates the game.  Vince doesn't; he lets the game dictate him.

I think Vince wants to leave and I'm okay with it.  I think the Raptors can still get something good for him, so they should trade him now.  The more they wait, the more Vince's trade value will decrease.  I think the prospective trade with the Trailblazers is fair.  It's basically Shareef Abdur-Raheem for Vince (we also get Derek Anderson for I forgot which Raptors player).  Shareef is a stat filler, although he's never been a proven winner.  That's okay though, because Carter isn't even a stat filler.

Oh man.

I just came back from the dentist and I'm pretty depressed. It turns out that I had 3 big cavities that weren't visible; the surface of my teeth was in relatively good shape, but deeper inside there were cavities brewing for God knows how long!!!!

So last week the dentist treated the first cavity OK. This is what started out to be a small cavity, but turned out to be a deep one underneath. Anyway, it was OK.

Today, treated the 2 others. Apparently I have a huge cavity in one of them. So deep that it's almost touching the nerve. Guess what? I need a crown. Which means that I have to pull out the nerves in the tooth (i.e. kill it) and then replace it with a ceramic tooth.

I'm pretty depressed because it's so early for me to lose a tooth. Crowns are for old people !!!! And when asked if I needed to change or improve my dental hygiene, the dentist told me no, my teeth are clean. Unfortunately, there was a small problem that nobody saw, and it grew and grew until it was too late. So I can't even say that it's my fault. Sucks to lose a tooth over something that isn't really your fault.

Plus a crown costs a lot of money. Insurance will cover for about 600 euros, but still have to pay between 200 and 400 euros depending on the type of crown I choose.
