First day of school...*sigh* NOT exciting! Last weekend, I took a random trip down to the bay area with Izumi and Rei. It was pretty awesome..left friday and grabbed some yummy Thai dinner with dad. Then, we got ready and went out clubbing in SF. Ironically, my brother was going up there with his friends so we eventually met up. He picked my friends and I up from the first club and took us to where his friends were gonna be at. It was my LB friends, Joanne, Linda, Sue, my brother, his friends and I. It was 20 bucks to get in but it was so worth it. It was my first time togo out with my brother like that and we both had so much fun! I'm planning a trip to Vegas for my birthday and he said he'd meet me there with his friends so I'm excited bout that too! After the club, my friends and I were exhausted from the drive and all so we went straight home. Saturday, we slept in and ate at my brother's place. Then, we went to starbucks for a while and decided to do something before we went back home...so we went BOWLING! haha I won! yayee...then we were back on the road to LA.....once we got there, we went straight to Megan's house cuz she was having people over...busy weekend of fun! heh.

     Today, school was interesting. I only had two classes today, one of which didn't meet. I had to take care of grad check appointments, parking permit, practice room keys and other crap like that. A number of us went to a nearby pizza place and ordered lotsa pitchers of beer...mind you, it was only 1 pm. We all got a nice buzz goin and went back to the music department...good times! Many had class but since Im done taking those lectures, my friend and I went to hang out and be lazy.....for dinner, we ate Italian and again ordered more beer. I just went to the driving range with Eric but they closed so we couldn't hit any balls....yes, btw...my new hobby is GOLF! Eric and Benny's friend works at Sportsmart and got me a deal. I got a set of clubs for 50 bucks...can't beat that! It's too bad I suck but one day...I'll be able to play with my dad! Anyway, guess I better go...8 AM lab tomorrow. Back at home...still sick and it's day 4 since I've been here. I'm gettin better but I've literally been at work or in bed this entire time. I went out to Brianne's for 4th of July jsut to be out of the house but drank water like a good girl!I finally had a day off and went to the doctors....didn't get any strange diseases from Honduras so I'm good! Ryans' coming tomorrow nite so that's somethin to look forward to. Honduras was a lifetime experience and I would go again in a heartbeat. I met the sweetest people in my life! Anyway, going to bed...goodnight

Here I am, in Honduras! It´s definately a culture shock to be here. I can´t believe how feakin hot and humid it is! It reminds me of Japan but worse because we´re working 10 hours a day in this heat! I´ve never worked so hard in my life. I´ve never been so thankful for feakin running water! hahaha Everything is so cheap here, which is pretty awesome. The kids here are soooo adorable. I really want to take some home with me! Everyone in the city is nice and welcoming. They love tourists....better yet, americans. Just in last week, we helped over 12,000 people with glasses and eye exams. It was a lot of work but defintiely awesome. I´ve made a lot of friends with the people on this mission with me and the translators helping out. This is raining season for them so even though it´s so hot, the rain randomly come pouring down....not sprinkling...POURING! I have the most bug bites out of everyone but sitll not nearly as much as I expected! I feel like taking a shower every hour with extra soap! Damn, I´m such a freakin spoiled American. A little kid asked me for shoes today....SHOES! These kids are walking around bare footed on these dirt roads...some even butt naked cuz it´s so damn hot. It´s going to be sad leaving this place as much as I´m ready to leave. I´ve never seen so many genuine smiles in a day! Oh, btw...I also feel like a freakin alien here cuz as I walk down the street, people look at me in awe since I´m probably the one asian they´ve seen in their life!

     I´m leaving saturday, which is also my coworkers birthday. They`´re going out clubbin  and I promised to go but damn..I don´t know. I´m pretty tired every day! I wake upa t 5 am and go to bed at the latest, 11. If you know me,you know this is not my usual daily routine!!! Anyway, I should get going...still gotta walk in the heat back to the hotel.
