| Today was..."interesting"....
I was up late working on my so-called group paper for English, which I pretty much ended up writing entirely on my own. Ah, such is life. Hence, why I HATE group projects because people just aren't responsible or don't care. I guess I'm just too much of a kiss-ass, grade-grubber.
So I only got a few hours of sleep and I had to go to English class to take a....GRAMMAR TEST!!!... and hand in the paper (along with all of our rough drafts, internet research, peer review sheets, and self-evaluations...so it was like, 2 inches thick! LOL).
Then I had to go to Child Growth and Development which was scary to say the least. Imagine really scary pictures of the female reproductive system drawn on the chalkboard....and then your prof explaining conception and fertilization to you....*shudder*
Well, then I had a nice little break and a chance to read the newspaper from, like, the past 3 days. It drives me nuts if I miss a day! I need to know what's going on!
Then I had to go to work, which was INSANE. Here is the lesson of the day, which I certainly learned today: NEVER EVER, under any circustances, FEED CHILDREN SUGARY FOOD! Today they had a Valentine's Day party, so everything they ate today was sugary. Cookies, brownies, jello, sugary fruit punch, cupcakes..... Oh my GOD!!!!! When I walked in, Melissa was like, "Oh, you're gonna have FUN with them this afternoon." Yeah, thanks a lot.... So, to make a long story short, I had 10 rambunctious 3-year-olds screaming, and running around, and hitting each other, and falling on the ground, and RUNNING WITH SCISSORS! I don't know how many times I told them not to run with scissors! They're all excited because they learned how to use them yesterday, so now all they want to do is cut paper into billions and billions of tiny scraps (which I have to clean up, mind you...) which inevitably wind up all over the floor. I must have yelled at them for making a mess and running around the room with scissors fifty times! For damn's sake (LOL! Sorry, Courtney...I HAD to add that in!).
I did get to watch Bush's speech from Thursday, though. I had classes, so I taped the arrival at HIA and his whole speech at Central Dauphin. He couldn't have done this visit last year, when I may have gotten to go! My brother was pissed off b/c he didn't get picked. They only picked, like 200 students, which is really stupid, because wasn't the whole visit for the kids? I laughed when Mazz was talking, because even though he had a little note card to remember what to say (probably so he'd remember Bush's name and that he was the 43rd president...LOL) I thought that he'd screw up somehow. But he didn't. I also laughed, because Mrs. Deitmen was her typical self. It was kinda cool to see the old high school and some of my teachers and old classmates.
Well, I'm gonna go watch Access Hollywood now. I missed ET. Shoot... oh, well. You are all more important to me than a tv show! Someone email me and let me know how you're all doing. Or just post a comment on my chatterbox to let me know you're reading! |
