CONSECRATION OF THE WORLD TO THE HEARTS OF JESUS AND MARY
[On 25 March 1984 in Saint Peter's Square, while recalling the fiat uttered by Mary at the Annunciation, the Holy Father, in spiritual union with the Bishops of the world, who had been “convoked” beforehand, entrusted all men and women and all peoples to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, in terms which recalled the heartfelt words spoken in 1981]:
P. “O Mother of all men and women, and of all peoples,
A. You who know all their sufferings and their hopes, you who have a mother's awareness of all the struggles between good and evil, between light and darkness, which afflict the modern world, accept the cry which we, moved by the Holy Spirit, address directly to your Heart. Embrace with the love of the Mother and Handmaid of the Lord, this human world of ours, which we entrust and consecrate to you, for we are full of concern for the earthly and eternal destiny of individuals and peoples.
In a special way we entrust and consecrate to you those individuals and nations which particularly need to be thus entrusted and consecrated (i.e. the Middle East countries and the world, particularly Israel, Iran, US, Russia, China, France, England, Germany, North Korea, India, Pakistan, Philippines, Italy,etc ).
‘We have recourse to your protection, holy Mother of God!' Despise not our petitions in our necessities”.
“Behold, as we stand before you, Mother of Christ, before your Immaculate Heart, we desire, together with the whole Church, to unite ourselves with the consecration which, for love of us, your Son made of himself to the Father: ‘For their sake', he said, ‘I consecrate myself that they also may be consecrated in the truth' (Jn 17:19). We wish to unite ourselves with our Redeemer in this his consecration for the world and for the human race, which, in his divine Sacred Heart, has the power to obtain pardon and to secure reparation.
Above all creatures, may you be blessed, you, the Handmaid of the Lord, who in the fullest way obeyed the divine call!
Hail to you, who are wholly united to the redeeming consecration of your Son!
Mother of the Church! Enlighten the People of God along the paths of faith, hope, and love! Enlighten especially the peoples whose consecration and entrustment by us you are awaiting. Help us to live in the truth of the consecration of Christ for the entire human family of the modern world.
In entrusting to you, O Mother, the world, all individuals and peoples, we also entrust to you this very consecration of the world, placing it in your motherly Heart.
Immaculate Heart! Help us to conquer the menace of evil, which so easily takes root in the hearts of the people of today, and whose immeasurable effects already weigh down upon our modern world and seem to block the paths towards the future!
From famine and war, deliver us.
From nuclear war, from incalculable self-destruction, from every kind of war, deliver us.
From sins against the life of man from its very beginning, deliver us.
From hatred and from the demeaning of the dignity of the children of God, deliver us.
From every kind of injustice in the life of society, both national and international, deliver us.
From readiness to trample on the commandments of God, deliver us.
From attempts to stifle in human hearts the very truth of God, deliver us.
From the loss of awareness of good and evil, deliver us.
From sins against the Holy Spirit, deliver us, deliver us.
Accept, O Mother of Christ, this cry laden with the sufferings of all individual human beings, laden with the sufferings of whole societies.
Help us with the power of the Holy Spirit to conquer all sin: individual sin and the ‘sin of the world', sin in all its manifestations.
Let there be revealed, once more, in the history of the world the infinite saving power of the Redemption: the power of merciful Love! May it put a stop to evil! May it transform consciences! May your Immaculate Heart reveal for all the light of Hope:

| Happy Birthday Mama Mary!! Michael and I owe so much to the Blessed Mother for her continued inspiration to be pure in thought, word, and action. Our obedience to God is fueled by her FIAT to God. Our love for souls and prayer is modeled by her perfect example. Truly, we believe that the Blessed Mother has guided and protected us and will do so in the future. Every time we find ourselves in temptation or despair, our Blessed Mother is always there to remind us of our lineage to Christ... our connection to her Son. On this day, please remember the Blessed Mother. Offer her a rose or any flower. In a special way we consecrate to her our expecting STO couples and babies: Aress & Leah, Aldrin & Jasmine, and ourselves.... and Baby Agustine Paul, Baby Julian Peter, and Baby John Pio or Baby Gemma. | AVE MARIA! This year has truly been life changing for Michael and myself. God has truly blessed us with amazing opportunities to serve Him. Starting with our careers as a teacher and postman... to our marriage, and now to our first pregnancy. When we got married, Fr. John gave the most incredible homily with the overall theme of obedience. The love of obedience is truly liberating. Especially when the ob is from your Spiritual Director.
When we were in Australia, Fr. John and Br. Dom gave Michael and I big and small tasks. Mike started off with lifting and moving boxes. His consolation in the end was to hold the Blessed Mother during our 10 km Pilgrim Walk. For myself, I emceed our catechesis along with Sr. Denise, Br. Brendan, and Br. Sebas. Talk about stepping out of your comfort zone. It was great though. Every night, Michael and I had manifestations with the STOs of Australia. Please pray for their spiritual perseverance.
We are truly excited to be parents. The face of the STO is changing here in California. God is challenging us to purify our vocations. Please pray for Leah and Aress, Jasmine and Aldrin, myself and Michael and our journey with our married life and future parent roles. God bless!

| AVE MARIA!! I have only been married for almost one month now and already I can witness the outpouring of love that this vocation offers. On the other hand, those against the traditional form of marriage, have shown and revealed to the world a tremendous evil that will be the reason for the implosion of society.
Truly the experience that I have does not compare to those couples that have been married for 1 year, 5 years, 10 years..... 50 years. I know however that with the Holy Family as the foundation and model, families will truly persevere. Just recently I have been bombarded with stories from youth and young adults about persecution of their faith from their own families. It is sad to say, but this does not surprise me. Faith and morals should be taught by parents, but when parents take the backseat to ANYTHING, the faith and morals are handed over to the world, to school, to friends, to... anything else but them. For the summer SLY has been asked to help with the Missionaries of Charity summer camp. That is Mother Teresa's order. The sisters were explaining to Janine and I yesterday about their families. It is nothing different from what we see in our house to house enthronements. It is nothing different then I see working in Compton. It is the same thing.... and the overall message is THERE ARE TOO MANY BROKEN FAMILIES. Let us STOP this!! If we want the world to be HOLY and at PEACE... sanctify the family.
Fr. Peter and Fr. John, our spiritual directors, made it so clear to Mike and I that marriage from the beginning should be on the strict terms of purity, sacrifice, and prayer. From the beginning, should mean (MHCC are you listening...) at home with the family. This should be sustained during the courtship process, the engagement, the marriage, the family life, and eventually death.
Mike and I have many friends within this last year and the upcoming that are getting married. I pray to God and the Blessed Mother that they will truly find their foundation in Christ to have fruitful marriages. I have had talks after talks with friends to sanctify the marriage. I have begged friends to change their venue of the wedding to a sanctified one... (SIDE NOTE... Marriage is a Sacrament... Sacraments should be done on holy ground... for Catholics, a Catholic church). I have asked friends to get off the pill. I have asked friends to change their bachelor and bachelorette plans. I have begged friends to go to confession. Any little piece of evil that you let in... CAN and WILL destroy families.
I know and have seen many families through enthronements with no children or only one. These families have 2-6 dogs. They always mention that they would like more and that they try and try but nothing happens. After talking with the family, we always find that some kind of contraception was used in the beginning of the marriage. Pill, patch, condom, etc. OR cohabitation. So instead of having children, they decided to get dogs because "dogs are like children". Now this is what really breaks my heart. Dogs are NOT children. God gave married couples the gift of co-creation of a human being. What a beautiful and amazing gift right?
Please pray for holy families, obedient children, holy vocations, and holy priests!! | | |
