| Year 2009 Awards: Question of the Year
"How can any intelligent person believe in God?"
It may sound offensive to religious people (like myself), but when asked genuninely, it is a valid question. And this question has been asked of me many times last year. So it deserves a place.
Other contenders include-- "Are you Singaporean?" and "What do you think?"

| In case you guys do not know, I have arrived in London, and preparing for my examinations on 12 January.
Upon hearing about my friend Liwei's first overseas trip to Hong Kong, I decided to dedicate this next award for the most insane thing I did.
And of course, it was my trip to Uganda. It was the biggest leap of faith decision I made, and boy, was I scared about the decision. I had to get vaccinated, order malaria tablets and went into the country without any maps or pre-requisite knowledge. I did not regret the experience.
Nevertheless, close contenders include my first date, my trip to Italy and my car adventures in Norway.

| Year 2009 Awards: Best website I was introduced to
www.bethinking.org
It's an apologetic Christian website that I was introduced to in early 2009. I had lots of questions about faith, and I would say my journey in Christianity has made me wiser and more learnt. I think I start to understand why CS Lewis said that Christianity was an 'education itself'.
Other close websites were www.talkorigins.org (handled evolution discussions) and www.biologos.org (which handles Christianity and science).
To my readers-- HAPPY NEW YEAR! Here's a drink for you all!

| What is the most amazing thing I have seen this year?
Without a doubt, it was to see my Ugandan friend, Peter Kabano catch a butterfly with his BARE HANDS. We were in the middle of the tropical forest of Kibale National Park as my group of peers and I had saw a dul brown butterfly flutter past us.
"Catch it!" I yelled to Amy Pinset and Guo Heng, who waved their butterfly nets in vain. Then Peter, who was just standing there, reached out clapped his hands. He somehow managed to capture the insect with his cupped hands without damaging the lepidoptera.
Professor Donald Quicke laughed, claiming that it was something that only Africans could do. Still I was impressed.
Other contenders for this award was to hear Louis beat Andee in the genetics exam, see Nadia make up with her arch enemy Constance and seeing Kong get a girlfriend. However, I think Peter deserves the award for sheer probability.

| Well, people, in case you don't know, I'm in Singapore now, and will return to London on Jan 3.
Looking back on the year, I guess that 2009 has provided me with many memories. Thus I shall do a review of the year.
Best movie I watched: District 9
It was a close fight, as there were so many good movies this year. District 9 was high on my list with Avatar and Sherlocke Holmes. However, considering that director Peter Jackson had used an unknown cast, I would stick to District 9.
