I'm watching the History Channel. I'm learning about Henry Ford. He was a very diligent fellow.
I had a dream last night that all these people just came over to my house and starting doing cocaine. It was pretty weird.

I think William invented that in like 7th grade. No, seriously.

| You know, I haven't watched Evita in a few weeks. This is kinda strange.
So, we watched the greatest movie in English class. Mary Shelley's
Frankenstein. It was directed by Francis Ford Coppola and stars Robert
De Niro as the monster. Although the entire film is a masterpiece, the
last twenty minutes or so is perhaps the greatest thing ever made.
Whether it's Victor Frankenstein oil wrestling with his newly created
monster in a hilarious montage or Elizabeth (after having been rebuilt
inexplicably as a hideous monster) immolating herself, running through
the mansion, and ultimately BLOWING IT UP, the movie has to be seen to
be believed.
Some people may call the movie gross, juvenile, or even retarded. Some
may wonder, "What the fuck was Coppola thinking?" Some may even point
out the massive plot holes, the shoddy acting, the questionable pacing,
or even the sheer tastelessness of the entire undertaking. Those
critics simply don't understand postmodern cinema, of which Mary
Shelley's Frankenstein could very possibly be representative.
If you see one charged drama this year, see Crash. If you see two
charged dramas this year, see Crash twice. If you see three charged
dramas this year, see Crash twice and then Capote. If you want to see
the greatest movie ever made, however, see Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.

| First real meeting of Philosophy Club was today. It was, if nothing
else, a good start, I think. The important thing, I like to think, is
that people actually came and discussed things.
And now, I'm watching the History Channel.
