| COPIED AND PASTED FROM MY FACEBOOK!
ALRIGHT guys, this is my "testimony" i guess =[ *shrugs* Soooo this
was my first year going to TECBC and as a senior, i felt really out of
place. I felt so uncomfortable that i wanted to back out of being a
bible study leader. In the past i heard great things about TECBC but i
didn't believe it that much. BUT the moment i got there, i knew
something was different. The people there are AMAZING and really cool
and funny and open and on and on. I started loosening up (after
drinking a few rounds with Pastor Drew), and i really opened up. You
guys saw the many many almost schizo sides of me. My really really
competitive side, where i showed you my awesome street fighter and X
Men moves (I AM THE JUGGERNAUT!), you saw my friendly side (hopefully
=/) but you also some mean streaks and nervous jitteries. I really
stepped out of my comfort zone this conference and bared all of me.
Like pastor drew said, we shouldn't need to put up fronts, "we're
beautiful they way we are" (well not all of us *cough*) anyways, i
thoroughly enjoyed the messages, bonding, encouragement notes,
experiences, pictures, games, activities, bible studies, worships, and
everything TECBC related. I just want to thank everyone for helping me
feel comfortable this year, but most of all, i want to thank GOD for
guiding me this weekend. I definitely felt his prescence.
"For
we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works,
which God PREPARED in advance for us to do." -Ephesians 2:10

| This following entry is sad and requires that you give your money (LOL):
My church has planned an event called the "30 hour famine" and i decided to participate for the first time this year. As I was reading the little booklet included, some of these facts really hit me hard. "29,000 children die every day, most from hunger or preventable disease. That equals a disaster like the South Asia tsunami each week." "Every three seconds a child dies from hunger; poverty and disease" "A child dies every 15 seconds due to lack of clean water and sanitation" "One sixth of the world's population does not have access to safe drinking water. Thats about the same amount as the entire population of India" "1.1 billion people live on less than $1 a day. That's most than 1/6 of the world's population" "I in 5 children die before reaching their fifth birthday in some developing countries" After reading this, other than being sad, I was more than excited to participate in this life-changing experience with my fellow brothers and sisters. Together we can actually make a difference in those third world countries. I will be collecting donations from sponsers starting the Thursday we come back to school. If you want to donate, even a dollar, please let me know. thanks guys!! P.S. i really suck at writing long entries that inspire people. really sorry =]

Starve and Hunger are such negative words, who would've known that together they could save people

Iris off to college at Port Authority. Then we went back to get ice
cream at Coldstone...got my whole face smeared by ice cream by five
ppl. the worst was BOB cuz he chased me a whole block just to put ice
cream on my face =.= yeah and then we went to Toys' r' us to play Hide

| OOOOOOOOOOMG these kids are driving me crazy. Day Seven (today) was
probably the worst. The kids didn't seem to know how to line up. Six
teachers had to yell at them. We made them stand for more than an hour
outside and inside but they don't get it. I think its especially hard
because Taniel, Jess and me can't keep straight faces when we talk to
the kids. We always end up laughing or smiling. We also depend alot on other teachers. I think we finally
have to step up and start being teachers, we can't just be friends with
the children, especially certain ones. We have to start being the
teachers to EVERY SINGLE KID. sigh its gonna be hard. if they don't
behave tomorrow, they're not going bowling monday...which sucks for all
of us because i like to bowl.

| wow haven't written in here for a long time. So anyways, this summer I
am a teacher at my church's summer camp. first two days of
SummerDayCamp were really tiring but its been lots of fun. I have
really cute third graders and they bored really easily because they're
old enough to know whats boring and whats not =.= partners are Jessahh
and Taniel and we have some new volunteers who are inexperienced...BUT
yeah. so anyways i
never knew that SDC would be so crazy and hectic. Its so hard teaching,
especially since its my first year. Hope i do a good job =]
