I was really disappointed on Friday when we didn't get to go swimming, but the day wasn't too bad after all. Playing in the rain, running a game a sardines in the church, and eating evertything in Taco Bell has it's percs.

Helped my grandparents at their house this morning. Definitely threw my back out. Papa wanted me to get rid of some junk metal for him- hundreds and hundreds of pounds of it. Andy let me borrow the truck and they took me out to breakfast, but it almost wasn't worth it for the pain in my lower back. Incinerators are heavy!!

Papa was very grateful though, so that makes it worth it. I very much need to spend more time over there.

I've spent the rest of today nursing my back to health again. Not there yet.

I had a great time today. This morning I worked on the Migrant stuff. We have a good calendar now and I feel better about starting the program on Monday.

Joel and I hung out for a while at church today and then grabbed a bite to eat. We found out Dave is a fun/cool/weird guy.

So our honeymoon has now evolved into a road trip of the New England states. I'm pretty excited about that. Dot has been doing all the work and sharing what she's finding with me. It's pretty cool.

Grilled out again tonight. Definitely one of my favorite things to do.

Yesterday I preached at church. I poured my heart into the message and really felt God speaking through me. After the service a man came up to me and demonstrated that he hadn't listened at all and that he had no interest in the real work of the church. It was very disheartening.

I left church yesterday feeling like I was failing the youth group. Joel, Mark and I had fun racing our cars around, and we did a little Bible talking, but I think the day was a bust.

Any of ya'll out there who may be youth pastors, look me I. I need someone to bounce ideas off of and talk to about this whole thing.

Katie and I are cleaning out the spare room. After the wedding, our study will be in there. Currently I have it filled with all the junk I've collected over my lifetime. This is a long and painful process. \

Next Sunday I head to the beach for a few days. I'm nearly hopping with excitement and can't wait to get there. I need a few days away.

Gotta do Migrant work this morning.

Odd the way things work out, isn't it?

So I did this Spiritual Director thing over the weekend and it turned out pretty good. As the weekend approached, I didn't want to be going at all, but I was really encouraged by the other people on the retreat.

I feel a big blog coming up, but the coffee is ready so I gotta go. Love you all!
