| Well, time to stretch my wings and fly into another blog post. I
know they are far and few between, but good things come to those who
wait, or something like that.
Migration of Win C/C++ apps to Linux. Parts (1) and (2).
Ahh the exodus has begun, oh and if anyone would like a copy of Ubuntu
Linux LiveCD, I have a box full I received free in the mail. A
little background. If you want to experiment with Linux, a liveCD
is the best way to do it, as you put the CD in restart your computer,
put your CD drive first in the boot list, usually hitting F2 at the
load screen, and then booting the system. You can run the OS from
you CD drive, and peruse the OS at your leisure, and still mount your
regular HD and use your old files.
Thats really the only thing I got for right now. I'll add some more when I get some time.

| Well, I figured I had better update again, as some people actually read this.
First off I would like to congratulate my brothers on there finishes at the Beloit Invitational Tournament on Saturday.
Second off, I would like to congratulate myself on sitting there all day watching them.
Thirdly I would like to congratulate the oscar committee for giving Michael Moore a record 0 nominations for his movie.
Well on with the show.
Asus A8N-SLi
Delux nForce4
or
Gigabyte GA-819P Duo Pro
??
I know what your going to say
right off the bat, but you must factor in the cost perspective as
well. Ok thats all for today, ponder my question, and feel free
to comment on it. | | |
| What a month, it seems like forever since I've last written here, and
it basically has. First I had to leave the techinically abled
land for my home, in which our interent signal travels by carrier
pigeon. Now I'm not saying that I don't enjoy going home, but as
they say, it's a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live
there. Alright, down to business, there is quite a bit to catch
up on.
- Article on Nintendo's Hiroshi Yamauchi
It's hilarious, especially where he tells Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer
to suck his tiny yellow balls, or where he says the PSP is penis
shaped. Update: This article appears to be a fake, looks like
some very prominent e-mags got taken for a ride, including me, not that
I'm prominent. I'll leave it up because fake or not, it's freaking funny.
- Bill Gates crashes.
No not his car, but he did have a computer crash while giving a
presentation at the International Consumer Electronics Show. Now
that's funny.
- XBox 2. Explains what we shall see with when the new version of the XBox is released hopefully later his year.
- Like Mac Tools, Hate Mac OS?
Try this little tool out, gives you all the nifty bubbly crap that
makes Mac OS functionality "cool," but lets you use it in Windows.
- Avalon3D. More like OpenGL/Direct3D for idiots...Oh wait its Microsoft based.
- Samsung 21" OLED Display.
- 2004 Microprocessor Timeline.
- and finally a good history of the Microprocessor.
Well
that wraps up this addition. Feel free to tip your wait staff, as
they have put in some good work here, and see you next time.

| First off, I'd like to thank all the little people I stepped on to get
where I am today, now having not understood a word of what I just
wrote, let's begin. As this week, supposedly "dead week" at
our school passes, I wonder why teachers insist on doubling your work
load this week. They must think that since it's "dead week" that
we should all be dead by the end of the week. Oh well, heres yet
another list of things I find interesting, and you should too:
- Thought controlled computers: The precursor to computered controlled thought.
- Spy vs Spy: Ware that is, Spyware companies duke it out for the right to control your computer.
- Anti-Hacker Toolkit 2nd Ed.: This one is definitely going on my wish list this Christmas.
- IPOD mini-mini: One case where smaller may just be better.
- Also, Dell the corporation sucks, they refused to honor a coupon
they had online which allowed for a $1 LCD TV with the purchase of new
Dimensions Desktop. Time to call in the Lawyers. see slickdeals/forums for details.
Well, that's about all the wind I have in my bag, so I'll just let
everyone out there in TV Land return to there normal veiwing pleasures.

| Alright...it's sunday night, and I'm bored of doing Electromagnetics
homework...so, I'm going to entertain you all with some quality links
of technophile genius...or something like that.
- PS3...Easy on the developer's eyes?
- Knoppix to the rescue!!!
- Gentoo the biggest little man on the totem pole.
- RVB and I don't mean red bull and vodkas
- Porn for Nerds taking the top off the new ATI video card
- Laziness
not just a trait of Microsoft anymore.
- Say goodbye to G
- Wi-Foo: An awesome book about the wonders of wi-fi cracking and hacking. I have my copy, and love it, so get your own.
- Minibosses:
for all of you Nintendo-aholics out there, this band takes it to
another level, I highly recommend checking them out...especially
contra...U, U, D, D, L, R, L, R, B, A, start. Hell yeah!
Well, further updates as warrented. If any of you out
there have your own favorite books and such, feel free to message me
about em. | | |
