| proud to say we are a Windows free household. lol. Vista got on my nerves so badly that I tried to destroy it using DBAN (boot and nuke) but I couldnt even wipe the damn drive clean; i think because of Vista. Didnt want to go back to XP anyway because i didnt know where my SATA drivers are. Instead, I let the Ubuntu installer figure it out. It's pretty slick... wiped the drive, installed the OS, installed drivers for my wireless mouse/keyboard and USB 802.11g device, etc all by itself. With the advent of Firefox and Openoffice (which I must say looks a lot better in Linux than it does on OSX, even the NeoOffice variant), Linux is pretty easy to use out of the box. Too bad I'll probably just box this up for storage since the Macbook does everything we need.
