| Holy crap - Lieberman lost. To another Democrat.
(And he's running as an independent in the general election like a jerk).

| Woohoo. I got through all the tapes of the movie tonight. I put everything we had edited together into one file, and it's 75 minutes - but that doesn't include stuff I forgot to edit (quite a bit), stuff I lost (a scene), and stuff we still have to film (random short skits, an entire subplot which also needs to be written :-|). This thing could be 100 minutes before cutting. Yipes.

| Filming is almost done, and editing is getting there.
Some of our movie is filmed on a sweet camera and with the audio separate, so it takes a while to edit even simple stuff. But other stuff is on a handheld camera and no mic, and I just got to the tape that was filmed using that camera - I was relieved, because I thought it'd be easy going. Unfortunately, the tape's f'd up for some reason (which made me almost want to cry). Luckily, though, recording from one camera gives me perfect video, and from another gives me near-perfect audio (but neither gives me both). I'm hoping it's a "beginning of the tape" thing. Ugh.
update - well, it all worked out okay (i finished that tape). 3 more tapes to go (two more days of editing? one marathon day?). It feels like we're really close to being done, but there's still a lot to do - one more actual scene to film, some random stuff with Steve, Seth, and Andy, editing a few hours of tape, getting music together/recorded/whatever... writing and filming an alternate ending (yipes). And we've got a week. Plus setting up the film festival. Luckily Saturday's my last day at work, and I don't work tomorrow.
I'm wondering how long this movie will be. We were shocked when the first rough cut of Prom turned out to be 65 minutes - I think this one's got the chance of hitting 90. It's better to have room to cut, I suppose.

| We've got a film list up for the film fest. There are so many great movies showing - the Saturday night screenings, especially, are going to be a blast. You can get tickets by talking to Steve or me. $3 a seat.
