| I used to take the foothill transit from pomona to USC for work. I would wake up in the morning and instead of driving, I would take a nap on the bus. It usually took the same amount of time overall but I got to take the precious nap. Well for a while, we stayed at torrance so I didnt need to take the bus. However, I still had my paper bus pass with about $100 on it. It should keep I thought. I recently took the bus and found they converted to a digital card. They said I had to take the paper bus pass and go back to the station to convert it to the digital card pass. I went today. I was told I missed the deadline of Aug 7 to convert the paper cards to the plastic digital cards. That means I lost $100. How annoying. I wont be taking the bus for a while. | | |
| lately i been having little time to blog. I have resorted to a competitor. With the microblogging capabilities, applications, and quizzes. It had rendered real blogging mindless. Those applications and quizzes are extremely addictive. But tonight is my last night of GI research month rotation. Tomorrow I start hematology rotation. I hoped i have gained enough to become a worthy GI fellow applicant. I want to specialize in GI as it is the most interesting speciality that I have seen. The people I have worked within the field have inspired me to become like them. I want to become a gastroenterologist. The addition of being able to do scopes is also very enticing. I am great with my hands and I want to do procedures. I just want to be able to help people and care for them. So I will study the disease of the liver and intestines in hopes to be chosen to become a fellow. Its like applying to college all over again. | | |
| Over the weekend I flew to SF. Met up with my wife on rotation and met up with an old College friend, Raymond. Walked all over Union square and visited the 7th annual Crab festival at Union Square. Bought tickets to get culinary samples from the local restaurants which was tasty and for charity. Took some pictures with my camera, will need to take a look at them after call. On my flight home, the plane was delayed 30 minutes. Got home around 930pm. Which meant straight to sleep for work the next day. Tomorrow after call, laundry, unpack and look at my pictures as I prepare for my next rotation Renal Consult. | | |
| Yesterday I finally had time to start my fruit smoothie diet. I drove to the nearby Juice it up store and I was surprised to see it has closed down. I ate at Wendy's instead. My diet plans has gone awry. | | |
| EJ went to SF for a one month rotation. She left today so she can make it for her start on monday. Today I am on call so I couldnt go with her. Luckily on my golden weekend (weekend with both days off) I am flying up there to meet her. This is in 2 weeks. In the meantime, dinner will consist of Jamba juice in order to help with some weight loss. At the hospital, I find it hard to eat healthy as there is little time to eat. But I really must try to make myself eat more salad. Anyways just a few more months before my vacation. Starts in the end of May and most of June. Cant wait to travel again. | | |
