| Lately, I've been so caught up in wondering where we'll be next year that I don't stop to think about today. In James 3:13-17 it says, "Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money." Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that. As it is, you boast and brag. All such boasting is evil. Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins."
Aaron's brought up this verse to me before when I've wanted the future to come faster, when I've wanted us to have kids, for him to start a "real" job, and wondering when we'll move. Sometimes it's hard for me to live for today. I need to think more about each day then about the future. I need to live each day to the fullest. It's not easy.
And then I get to the part where it says we're a mist. That's crazy! I totally forgot about that. Most of the time it seems like days can take forever and that time goes by slowly but before we know it we'll be in heaven.

| James 2:5 "Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?"
The Lord gave me this verse this morning. I think it has to do with the future. Aaron's almost done with school and we're trying to decide where to move. Sometimes, we think about moving to California and I think how nice it would be to have a beautiful house on the beach. This verse goes against everything the world stands for. We (at least me) want the nice things of this world, a nice car, a nice home, money. We don't need any of those things. Granted God does bless people with nice things. Maybe it has to do with the heart issue. If you have these "nice" things are they in the way of your relationship with Jesus?
Not sure what it all means but we're trusting Him to direct our steps. It's exciting! Who knows where we'll be next year. I can't wait!

| Well, the day finally came! On Thursday, June 14th at 2:17 p.m., little Emma Reini made her way into the world. We are so blessed to have her in our life! Here are a few pics from the past few days...

| "Many nonbelievers see Christians as slaves, in bondage, losing freedoms, while they themselves are free. However, the truth is that those outside of Christ are the ones bound, not unlike those living a lie in the "farms" enslaved by a machine (The Matrix). They are slaves to sin." Driven by Eternity by John Bevere This book is turning my world upside down. I don't even know what to say about it. Read it if you get a chance. | | |
