still not glowing

And I hear I am no longer radioactive. I'll just have to find some other way to get my powers. I'll let you know when I figure out the new plan. Yes. I am officially out of quarantine. This is a very good thing, because I was definitely having some cabin fever being cooped up in my house for a week. It was great to be out last night and see people. Although, a few who knew where I had been weren't sure if they should be excited to see me or not!!! (just kidding...no one ran away from me) Anyway, I am also feeling much better now that I can be taking my thyroid medicine again. Now I am just looking forward to my parents getting into town to visit tomorrow and leaving on Thursday for a trip to Florida with my sister! Hooray.

Whoo! Superhero powers!

Going radioactive for the 3rd, and what will hopefully be the last, time. This time, it's the real deal. No wimpy 2 day stint - but a full week of trapped in my room, no human contact, I could zap people with radioactive rays, radioactive. Surely all remaining thyroid tissue cannot withstand such an onslaught.

I've got lots of provisions, movies ordered off Amazon, and wonderful roommates who promise to bring me food and talk to me through my door. I'll probably just be sleeping for a lot of it, because I've been off my thyroid medicine for more than 5 weeks in order to do this. I am completely exhausted and have been sleeping about 15 hours per day anyway.

My parents are coming out for the accompanying scan. This is the part of the whole process that really freaks me out. I've also got some really strong drugs left over from my last scan that should hopefully just zonk me out for most of it.

I still consider myself to be an exceptionally healthy person, but I've certainly spent a lot more time in the hospital than I ever would have predicted at this point in my life.

Sadly, to all who are wondering, still not enough radiation to make me glow in the dark. If I do have to go radioactive again, maybe I can suggest some sort of add-on...

I'm ready to graduate

I've been in school for a very long time now. Pretty much as long as I can remember. And I am really looking forward to not having anymore homework or tests. I'm tired of studying. With that said, spring break starts tomorrow night for me since I don't have any Friday classes. I am really going to have a hard time adjusting to a real work schedule compared to the hours I keep now. Spring Break is pretty much the greatest idea ever. It's too bad more employers don't observe it. Anyway, I'm off to St. Louis tomorrow night, eventually on to Sedalia later in the week, and then back to St. Louis to round off the break. If I'm out of touch, that would be why. (Not that I'm particularly good about being in touch, ever.) Happy thoughts to everyone. I hope you are all doing great! It's not even 10 here, yet, but I feel like I'm about to collapse. So it's about time to be off to bed for me.

At least I think it's funny...

A quote from one of our crim law professors:

S. Smith: “What do lawyers use for birth control? Their personalities.”

And a list that makes me smile:

A couple links I think are worth the read

These articles both have things in common - i.e. global warming is part of why they exist as news stories, but I think both are independently informative about modern politics and modern American churches.
