Winston- hey let's not get strippers in vegas before the party, I don't want to smell like strippers.

Man law #34,208- NEVER under ANY circumstance, at ANYTIME refuse strippers.

After not opening my curtains for the entire winter, I decided to let in some fresh air yesterday.  I cracked the window a bit before catching sight of picture below.  Surprised as a motha, I slammed the window shut, cried out like a little girl, and run a coupla feet back.  I guess the bird was as shocked as I was, since it flew away instantly.  I went back to the window after the danger was cleared, and noticed two eggs in the nest.

This situation is posing as quite a dilemna here.  The window ledge that the bird took up at liberty is my air conditioner spot.  I'm not exactly sure when I'm going to need to put my AC in, but what if by that time, the baby birds aren't mature enough to fly away yet?  Am I enough of an altruist to sacrifice my personal comforts for the life of these birds I had no idea existed until yesterday? Or should I just terminate the miracle of life now before the birds hatch? Just like how abortions aren't legal after the 1st trimester, I wouldn't feel right getting rid of them after incubation.

If anybody know what type of bird this is, and how long it takes for their young to mature to a point where they're capable of flight, please let me know!

I am excited to report that I was actually able to put my law school education into practical use recently.  Two weeks ago, I was browsing for a nice set of darts on the internet and I came across the set above.  It was very aesthetically-pleasing to me, so I ordered a set off the website.  The next day, I realized I wanted a special set of replacement shafts to go with the darts, so I decided to give the company a call.  The telephone-order person told me that since my darts haven't been picked up by the postman yet, he would be able to throw in the shafts at no additional shipping costs.  I consented and eagerly awaited for my babies.

To my dissappointment, when my package arrived, it did not contain the special spinner shafts that was promised.  I called up the company seeking an explanation, and the same person told me that the postman actually came before they had a chance to put in the shafts, and they did not charge my credit card for it. He said if I still wanted them, they could send it out with an additional shipping cost.  Being the avid law student that I am, related contracts doctrines quickly surfaced in my mind.  I told the guy that he was in breach of contract, because unilateral mistakes do not void the contract unless the mistake fits a five-factor test.  I then pulled out my notes and recited the actual five factors needed, and explained to him why his mistake does not qualify him to void the contract.  After I was done, the guy was quiet for about fifteen seconds and then told me I should go and try to sue him for the $6 shipping cost, or I can go fuck myself.

So I guess the moral of the story is that even though you still can't always get what you want, law school provides you with a whole new way of fucking with people.

As some of you know, I began my law school classes earlier this week.  It still somehow feels unreal since I decided to apply to the Jan. program so last minute (less than a month ago).  During orientation, I remember myself sitting in that classroom not exactly feeling like I'm actually a law student already.  Despite this inconsistent state of mind, my experiences so far really affirmed my chosen path.  I don't recall any of my Stern classes invoking a sense of enthusiasm anywhere close to what I felt for the work I've engaged in so far in law school.  This is def. a profession that I would be able to find the most relevance and interest in.

Considering the amount of work that's already been laid out for me, it's def. a good thing that I can find such excitement in the field.  But come to think of it, I dont think my Stern classes required a substantially less amount of effort.  I can only conclude that I just really didn't give a shit considering the subject and everything else that came with college. I would say this is the first time I'm actually heading in a direction career-wise I really care for.  In my books, that means it's time to really get serious.  It's time to put my social life on the backburner. There's no way I'm gonna try to nor would I want to bluff my way out of this one.

I've been watching the first season of Lost on dvd, and I would have to say it's a pretty decent show.  Not exactly HBO drama status, but def. good for network.  In the current episode I'm on, Sayid the Iraqi hooks up with one of the only two cute white girls on the show.  I am just loving it.  I applaud ABC's writers and producers for incorporating this despite the political climate we're in.  The last time I felt this sense of redemption was from watching Harold and Kumar go to White Castle.  All the Jackie Chan movies in the world don't add up to that elevator scene in terms of rectifying Asian male sex appeal.  Fucking a white girl seems to have become an essential step to achieving social status for any minority group in America.  Is that why all these gangland gangbang porns are so widespread these days? There's just something satisfying about seeing a crew of black dudes ravaging a blonde girl.
