So I'm alive....

There are two obvious possibilities why I have not posted in a long time.

1.  My life is so full of awesome stuff that I don't have a moment to post.
2.  My life is so boring that I have nothing to post about.

"I'll take option 2 for a million!"

As usual, nothing much is happening over here.  Thanksgiving came and went and was quite enjoyable.  Next weekend I head to Vegas for the wedding of some good friends.  Two weeks after that, I have a week off for Christmas.  So it is a fun time, if not terribly entertaining (Hopefully next week will fix that!)

The biggest news in my life is that my sister is getting married to her long time boyfriend.  She will become Nina Gonzales-Horton on April 29th.  Gonna be a big party for sure.

My life revolves around friends and sports.  OU had a downer year in football, but the basketball season looks promising (tough loss against Villanova yesterday).  Denver is having a good year (though they are not looking to hot against KC at the moment).  All I want for Christmas is a Bronco playoff win before Indy kills them.

That is about all at the moment.

I hope all are doing well and Happy Holidays.

Still Alive Volume 2...

Still alive.  That is about it.  I have a trip to Vegas in December and a trip to Hawaii in March, so I have things to look forward to!

Seen a lot of movies this summer:

Episode III:  9.0 / 10.0 - I'm a giant nerd!
War of the Worlds:  7.5 / 10.0 - First 90 min....Awesome, Last 30 min...Sucky
The Island:  6.5 / 10.0 - Watchable Sci-Fi but nothing special
Wedding Crashers:  8.0 / 10.0 - Funniest thing I've seen in a long time
Willy Wonka:  2.0 / 10.0 - And I thought Episode I shit on my childhood!
4 Brothers:  6.5 / 10.0 - Watchable actioner.  Completely forgetable
Batman Begins:  8.0 / 10.0 - My favorite Comic Book Movie

Thats all for now...

Still Alive...

As usual, not much going on round here.  Went to San Diego a couple weeks ago to attend the Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition Conference.  It was a blast and I can't wait till next year because it will be in NYC.

Really like the first 90 mintues of War of the Worlds.  Could have done without the last 30.

Deja Vu...

Today was kinda weird.  My department is moving to a new building next week, so everyone was packing.  It was so interesting how similar it felt to those last few days of the school year in college.  Everyone is packing at the last minute, the sounds tape being unrolled and torn, piles of trash appearing everywhere.  Combine with that the close quarters, and it felt just like leaving OU for the summer.  There were a couple of times, just for a moment, I was sure I was back in the dorms getting ready to head home.
