Where exactly does one draw the line between teasing and goading? Challenging and taunting? Encouragement and coercion? Bribery and ransom? Protection and Impingment of rights?

Life is sometimes quite peculiar, many shades of grey, not just simple black n white. That's what makes life exciting and interesting, yet highly frustrating and unbelievably unbearable at times. A full spectrum of characters exist in our midst. Some are mysteriously intriguing, others bring a smile to ur face even in the darkest of moments, yet some irritate the living hell out of u and then there are those who are plain disgusting and mortifying. Apologies if u happen to feel u are the last of the afore-mentioned. This is not intended at anyone in particular, just a random piece of scribe on fleeting thoughts that entered my mind.

The people ard us really can have quite huge influences on what we do. Mummy used to make me clean out my pig-sty, albeit with largely futile efforts...now someone else has contrived to make certain i tidy up my room. sigh =) Daddy used to decide when i get to play sports but now he pretty much lets me dictate my schedule. Sis used to make me free up my schedule to chauffeur her ard, now she's got a pretty lil' car and does her own driving ard. Wen used to make me listen to his takes on 'Nursery Rhymes' and the like before bedtime, now we both have our own rooms to ourselves. The pple who make the law decide what's right and wrong in society. Administrative staff in our places of work decide our schedule and rules in the workplace. Bosses dictate the protocol of work...Girlfriends pretty much just sum it all up and control everything in ur life =)

Whoops, library's closing
My entry today is largely random. Hope nobody takes offence at anything written. *wink* Might continue another day =)

Been driving quite a bit. it's the most i've driven in malaysia - most in fact. been to perlis, kedah, penang, and back to kedah again. it's been fun...new speed max: 180. but i try to keep it to 120 when i'm on highways coz i'm a safe driver...

Stint in Kedah's coming to an end now. It's been quite an experience talking to patients from rural villages, as well as seeing the entire health system work there. How hospitals can be run w/o specialists and entire health centres headed by staff nurses, albeit with visiting consultants, of course.

Got a better view on how general health is maintained in e country. U noe, just coz we don't see the occurence of diseases here like AGE, polio and such as much as in 3rd world countries, doesn't mean we're immune. So many different agencies, from food audit to factory rulings, food quality control and healthcare managment rulings.

K blog again. gg to watch movie w esther now then back to kubang pasu. ciao

Continuing off from where i left off....

So, i was heading from college to esther's place and we had cheese baked rice at e hongkie restaurant in mind...or so i thought. She called me to ask if i was done w my project, paused a lil', den asked if it was ok for me to head up to her place first coz she wasn't too ready yet. I thought nothing of it and agreed. The last turn before her carpark, it suddenly hit me that she might have a surprise party in store for me. Cunning, i thought. But i'm no spring chicken myself. Contemplated giving her a text to say 'no monkey business, i noe wad u have in mind!!'...then i thought against it...wad if there was nothing planned? no, shan't be so thick-skinned, 'sides, would wreck her plans if i din act surprised...more importantly, wad if she hadn't planned anything at all...me suggesting i expect something mite really hurt her bad, esp. since i kept telling her i din want a party....so, anyways, i decided i'll play along and act all surprised when i head up...

Walked up to her apartment...silence...the guys are normally so loud, u can't count on them to keep mum if their lifes depended on it! haha k, i'm exaggerating. but it was really too awfully quiet...no shoes outside either...then, esther opens e door all casually geared and welcoming me in...hmm...no surprise...oh well...So, back to cheese-baked rice. She was getting a couple of things ready...followed her into her room, then went to kitchen to wash my hands...grace's lights were on. sleeping, according to esther. c'est la vie...today's not my bday anyway...maybe e surprise is tmrw...even tho i did tell esther i jus wanted to spend time w her on my bday, no big hoo-ha wadsoever...but, wadeva =)

She had to pass sarinder back some books. he was eating at aunty joy's so we decided we'd drop by before heading to e-gate. nope, no sarinda...apparently he was done and heading out w cheong...so off we went to look for cheong's car...walk walk den all of a sudden, i saw a nice spread of food beside the pool...'nice party someone's..' i thought to myself..and before i could finish my thoughts...'SUR-PRIISSSSe!!!!!' A whole bunch of pple jumped out from behind the bushes. My dear friends, thanks so much for taking time out, putting in so much effort to make my surprise dinner such a memorable event indeed. Really am very touched.

Was teasing ws all afternoon thinking he had some girl issues, when he was running around trying to get charcoal for bbq that nite. Alan and dinesh not inviting me for lunch too...i thought they were being a lil' unfrenly....things they were doing for me. thanks, guys!

Hari, distracting me all afternoon with project work when he was just out to keep me occupied...con-jobs, everyone...so many others in class. i dun wanna end up just listing. but i rmbr each of u by name and i sincerely appreciate having u all in my life. thank you =)

The biggest con-artist of all tho, ESTHER LIM!! Had me conned twice over...thinkin there was surprise, then thinking there was no surprise and den being surprised when i gave up thinking! Officially the first PMC student to have a poolside party in sri york i was told. =) The most amazing thing? She was stuck w me so much of the time, it's amazing she managed to pull anything off at all...must have been so stressful for her to think of smth to surrpise me with. All that she must have gone thru...Thank you, darling. U're e sweetest! kk, shall no go into too much mush here for the benefit of everyone else reading. haha

Was a wonderful nite and rounded up w e guys giving me a mogu. It's a doggie. Welcome to e family, pudgy!

Heya'll!!

Hospitals were quite slack this wk. I've had time to go gym early in e morn, clerk in at 9-ish, head off noon-ish, get some break in between, before starting afternoon lectures. Quite cool. if only all postings were like that! =p Christmas carolling is kicking into gear. really enjoying it. very good fun and everyone's so enthusiastic about it. very heartening to see. Gets me right into the christmasy mood...Edmond and all his

Lotsa work to be done tho. Lousy health projects to do and my backload of portfolios from last term...sigh...me and my procrastination. got to really jsut clear em all out once and for all, before i leave, so i can enjoy my hols at home.

b'day was wonderful. esther planned a surprise party and i really got conned. She mentioned last wk something abt dinner w e guys on fri night. but as e day approached, i heard less and less abt e dinner. I was doing proj work w hari in school fri eve before leaving to pick esther up for dinner. ......

--------------------------------TO BE CONTINUED----------------------------------------------------------

just came back from dinner at secret recipe's. Late and i'm tired. shall tell u more abt my fri night surprise party as well as wad i did on my birthday some other time.

Good night!
