| I think it is important to see one's personal plans like a business plan ... for obvious reasons ...
less obviously ...
unlike an technical presentation, one should present a business plan such that it could be nurtured by the audience .... one should NEVER play the defensive game. There will always holes in one's plan. But instead of being defensive about it, one should take a strong (but not absolute stand) on a position so that the audience will contribute to your ideas to help it grow.
it is absolutely OK to loose face ... ha ha ... my sense is that if you want to come up with the killer buz plan, you'll need some thick skin ... oh well similarly, it is important for others to criticize your personal aspirations ... its nothing personal ... you need others to help you refine your ideas ... after a gzillion iterations, you might just get the killer bus plan

| "I could not see the scoreboard. I didn't know that I had won it at first. They need to make those numbers a little bigger for people my age." http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/olympics/2008/07/04/torres.swimming.trials.ap/index.html?cnn=yes She won a place in the US Olympics swimming team .... I am deeply touched. Amazing role model |

| "Having Michelle at his side helped reassure sceptical blacks that he
was really one of them. Even the precise shade of her skin colour may
have helped him at the polls. Famous black men often pick light-skinned
or white wives. Some black women resent this. That Michelle is quite
dark may have endeared Barack to black female voters who might
otherwise have voted for Hillary Clinton."
