| From now on, I'll be using the blog Jeb made for me at
http://www.mortier.org/lora/
It's not completely done...don't have the background done or anything, but I've got a post on it

| Buddy is doing a lot better now...he barely nips at all because we started tapping him under the chin when he nipped at us. He did do a lot of nipping today when Chad tried to put his tags on, though. If he doesn't want to be touched or doesn't want to go outside, he'll nip.
He has a vet appointment on Monday...hopefully we won't find out anything nasty, but if he has any problems, it'll be covered by his insurance....
He went for a car ride today...my boss, who thinks no one's time is as important as his, decided (in between my classes) to call me and inform me that he needed some envelopes that I'd been stuffing for him RIGHT NOW!!! So since I'd only be there for about 2 minutes and I had to go home to get the envelopes anyway, I put Buddy in the car and he came with me...:)
When I took him for his walk tonight, he didn't pull as much, so hopefully he's learning...it's no fun being taken for a walk....

| I don't know what's happened, but all of a sudden, Buddy nips at me every time I try to touch him except if I'm holding his food or water or bringing him INSIDE (if I'm taking him out, he nips at my hand, leg, anything he can get). Even if I go over to pet him, he nips at me. It's weird because he never nips at Chad, but I'm the one who feeds him and takes him out and everything. I'm fed up with it. I was actually on the phone with Chad this morning in tears. We got Buddy to be a companion, but I feel like he doesn't even like me and only puts up with me to get what he wants. I'm actually afraid to take him out and everything now because I'm sick of getting nipped at....

| Wow, we're getting lessons in parenthood...LOL...I was up twice with Buddy last night....the first time was around midnight because Kim called and woke him up, so he decided he needed to go out. The second time was around 3 when Chad went to work. I didn't think he'd need to go out again since I'd taken him out three hours ago, but Chad came in and said, "Lora, he's crying." He's never cried since we got him, so I figured he really needed to go out, so I dragged myself out of bed again....
I wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't so rainy and windy...it's so nasty that he pees and makes a bee-line for the door....usually he walks around a little bit and plays with some of his toys...but not today :(

| Well, I have to admit that Buddy has pleasantly surprised us. I was prepared for a little terror, but he's a very good dog...he's housebroken, and he slept in the house last night without barking (even though he had to pee, he didn't bark...I got up at 6:30 and let him outside). He doesn't jump on us and he's learning to sit on command. He's a cuddle-bug, too...if I sit on the floor with him, he'll scoot himself over so he's laying next to me and go to sleep. He does need to get better at walking on his leash, but we're trying to teach him that WE'RE taking him for a walk, he's not taking us for one. | | |
