hehe.. oh yeah. I've decided to not come back to xanga. The supposed to be 'user-friendly' theme modification tool makes me feel so dumb. Why can't xanga just let me edit my site the way i want to; the traditional way? Anyway my previous design on xanga has bugs - that's why i can't use the old private page to make modifications. I can't even access my private home page using the old design. haha.

so.. I'll be sticking to blogger!

Hey hey its been a long while. xanga has changed so much, to the point that I can't use the layout i designed in 2005. lol. Yes, 2005.

I totally do not like this current one. Never really like the idea of using work of others. I really wanna start a new blog but I still can't find one that give me enough flexibility and ease i need to design the site. Maybe I'll come back to xanga, maybe I won't.

 ....

How long has it been since I've graduated? Funny how I ended up in this job, given I've never seen it as a career choice. So what if I did well, I am absolutely not making use of that fact and not applying what I've learned or stretching my limits. I am enjoying the perks of this job; the easy money, fun and rest days but I think I shouldn't see it as a long-term career.. Especially when I don't see myself wearing a 'different' uniform..

Honestly I've initially planned to leave after 2-3 years but I am starting to feel that I may get too comfortable with this lifestyle. I am getting complacent and a little too comfortable. Been thinking about my plans after perhaps 3 years. Should I further my studies? Yes I should cause it was kinda my 'dream goal' to do masters and seriously, I love studying and mugging hard, but will it be useful for me practically? It's a good stepping stone for people with the right opportunities and networks. But I don't see myself holding a senior management position in the corporate world. I've been sheltered, pampered and showered with love all my life. This job is making me even more spoilt.  So many examples of people coming back because they can't get used to the corporate world. But I doubt I will be contented with the salary 5 years from now. Maybe I can go back to being a RM again in 5 years time? On second thoughts.. Nah... I'll be way too old to start fresh on that again.

Anyway, the truth is I've thought of a job I am pretty interested in but I haven't done a thorough research on it. Oh well.. things will eventually work out fine.

Seems like I am always working hard for 'no reason'. Did well enough in Os but suddenly decided go take a dip in IT when I've never ever seen going to poly as an option. Graduated top but ended up in a comfy job that requires Os as a min requirement. haha.. Seems like I love taking the long route. Guess its my way to savour the bits of my life?

But well, one thing's for sure, I definitely do not regret all the choices I've made.
As for now, I'll just take my time to enjoy the job and my life.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Some times they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real. But only for a season!

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Thank you for being a part of my life, whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the class of ’99
If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be
it. The long term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by
scientists whereas the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable
than my own meandering
experience…I will dispense this advice now.

Enjoy the power and beauty of your youth; oh nevermind; you will not
understand the power and beauty of your youth until they have faded.
But trust me, in 20 years you’ll look back at photos of yourself and
recall in a way you can’t grasp now how much possibility lay before
you and how fabulous you really looked….You’re not as fat as you
imagine.

Don’t worry about the future; or worry, but know that worrying is as
effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing
bubblegum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that
never crossed your worried mind; the kind that blindside you at 4pm
on some idle Tuesday.

Do one thing everyday that scares you

Don’t be reckless with other people’s hearts, don’t put up with
people who are reckless with yours.

Don’t waste your time on jealousy; sometimes you’re ahead, sometimes
you’re behind…the race is long, and in the end, it’s only with
yourself.

Remember the compliments you receive, forget the insults; if you
succeed in doing this, tell me how.

Keep your old love letters, throw away your old bank statements.

Don’t feel guilty if you don’t know what you want to do with your
life…the most interesting people I know didn’t know at 22 what they
wanted to do with their lives, some of the most interesting 40 year
olds I know still don’t.

Get plenty of calcium.

Be kind to your knees, you’ll miss them when they’re gone.

Maybe you’ll marry, maybe you won’t, maybe you’ll have children, maybe
you won’t, maybe you’ll divorce at 40, maybe you’ll dance the funky
chicken on your 75th wedding anniversary…what ever you do, don’t
congratulate yourself too much or berate yourself either – your
choices are half chance, so are everybody else’s. Enjoy your body,
use it every way you can…don’t be afraid of it, or what other people
think of it, it’s the greatest instrument you’ll ever own..

Dance…even if you have nowhere to do it but in your own living room.

Read the directions, even if you don’t follow them.

Do NOT read beauty magazines, they will only make you feel ugly.

Get to know your parents, you never know when they’ll be gone for
good.

Be nice to your siblings; they are the best link to your past and the
people most likely to stick with you in the future.

Understand that friends come and go,but for the precious few you
should hold on. Work hard to bridge the gaps in geography and
lifestyle because the older you get, the more you need the people you
knew when you were young.

Live in New York City once, but leave before it makes you hard; live
in Northern California once, but leave before it makes you soft.

Travel.

Accept certain inalienable truths, prices will rise, politicians will
philander, you too will get old, and when you do you’ll fantasize
that when you were young prices were reasonable, politicians were
noble and children respected their elders.

Respect your elders.

Don’t expect anyone else to support you. Maybe you have a trust fund,
maybe you have a wealthy spouse; but you never know when either one
might run out.

Don’t mess too much with your hair, or by the time you're 40, it will
look 85.

Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who
supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of
fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the
ugly parts and recycling it for more than
it’s worth.

But trust me on the sunscreen.
