| MY MEMORIES Time flies. I have finished my Mexico half-year exchange programme. During these 5.5 months, I learnt a lot, I experienced a lot; with precious memories. Shit, it's gone too fast, aha!?
I can still remember what happened when I arrived at Monterrey at 3/1/2007; it's a rainy day with low temperature, I met Coco at the airport, I saw Ming at the airport without saying hi, the welcome dinner (buffet), the so damn heavy luggage>,< the super long long long way from Residencia 3 to La Choza, the temporary Indian roommate....all these like they just had happened yesterday (shit, wanna cry>3<)
Lots of precious memories at the first few days; the pizza place, the 1st time we went to Soriana, brought the cell phone cards together, forgot to wake up, the cocktail party, the 1st time we went to Taco Felix, the welcome party...etc.
I lived in Residensia 1 303, Elisa was my roommate!!! Haha, she's a really nice girl! Practiced Spanish with me!!!!! Although we didn't talk much, I felt very comfortable to live with her as she's always very helpful and kind!We both took belly dance course ka!!! But diff class>,<
I took 3 courses only in this semester, so hea ar>,<...including Intermediate Spanish (changed from Basic Spanish), Effective Communication 1 and Mexican Culture. Ayia, most of the HK ppls took the same Spanish course, leaving me alone in the Intermediate class, so lonely la!
Hahaha~ I was so active in participating in various kinds of activities, like salsa dance, belly dance and swimming, very healthy, aha!? To be honest, I learnt and experienced a lot from these activities, esp. the dancing courses. I found lots of self-satisfaction from belly dance bcos I was able to twist my belly and patpat beautifully, in a controllable way, kakakakaka~ I had lots of fun from salsa dance bcos I could dance with diff guys; and the most important thing was that I met my lovely pareja, Manuel!!!!!!!! This man made my exchange life even more fruitful and colorful.
And I joined a volunteer programme in San Jose, too!!! I learnt and experienced a lot from this programme! The village, the school, the classrooms, the kids, Aimee, all the ppls from Tec I met in this programme, the local Mexican food, the horrible stories; all these became my valuable memories, I WONT forget this unique experience!!! And I made frds from this programme, too! Esly, Marcela, Carlos, etc, they taught me lots of things, like NO MAMES, kakaka!
Every Mon, Wed and Fri, I had the int. Spanish lesson, swimming class and salsa dance class; every Tue and Thu, I had the oral Spanish lesson, Mexican culture lesson and belly dance class. Although it's a bit routine, I enjoyed this kind of lifestyle. It's relaxing, without any pressure. I seldom ate outside; instead, I cooked a lot, spending lots of time in cooking Chinese food^^ haha~ I am good at cooking ka!!!
During this 5-month exchange period, I gained lots of precious memories. In Jan, I made a vital decision^^ (secret >3<) kakaka~ In Feb, I went to Zacatecas with lots of hk ppls. Haha~ I can still remember we sang "勁歌金曲" together in the bus>,<!!! Besides, during the Chinese New Year, most of the hk ppls went to Veracruz, leaving Michelle, Ruby and me in monterry ja! Haha~ the double-cone ice-cream made me sick!!!!!!! I can still remember the faces of mine and Michelle became this ──” when we were having the double-cone ice-cream in Vannesa's car.
April was the most happiest month in this exchange period. Although all the hk ppls left Monterrey (leaving me alone) during the holy week, I still had lots of fun with my lovely Nathalie! 8th 4, 2007, my 22nd bday, yeah! I wont forget this day; Applebee, Little Priscella, the fruit cheese cake, Michelle's soup and the strawberry Champaign!!!!
Everything became so great once I decided to perform belly dance and salsa dance. I can still remember I struggled whether to perform salsa dance as the costume was super expensive (ugly as well>,< baseball!?) and I couldn't find a dancing partner>,<…ayia, I wanted no regret!!! Thanks to Stanley, finally, I found my pareja, Manuel!!!!!! Kakaka, it was Stanley who helped me to find my pareja!!!!!
I think the Asian Party was the turning point of my exchange life; making it much more fruitful and colorful. Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Singaporean and Mexican~ a multicultural party, aha!? Then, I had my DRIVING lesson the day after. Wawawa! I learnt how to DRIVE!!!!!! I cant believe it>,<!!!!! So EXCITED!!!!! I love my driving teacher!!! Kakaka>3<
Lots of things happened afterwards~ waiting 4 hrs in the police station with Michelle and pareja, Yamato dinner with pareja, another 1 hr in the police station with Michelle and pareja, clubbing (ayia, I met a bad guy ar>,<), Stanley's bday, Chihuahua trip with Connie, Mi-hee, Stanley and Ming, Elisa's lunch@her home, sunbathing + sunburnt >,<, shopping with Michelle, having lunch with Coco and Mirjam and shopping in Soriana, Spiderman3 + Argentina dinner with pareja, Connie and Chang-hoon, rehearsals of the dancing show, clubbing, THE DANCING SHOW, I got DRUNK@ Louis's house, arcade with pareja, Connie and Chang-hoon, Mi-hee's farewell dinner, my farewell dinner. Really, REALLY, REALLY I had lots of precious memories in this month (shit, wanna cry>3<).
6th May, 2007 was the MOST happiest day during these 5 months. It's the day of DANCING PERFORMANCE!!!!!!!! I took lots of photos with lots of my frds; I was super super beautiful, aha!? Hahaha~ "hey hey, damdamdam, hey hey, damdam…(belly dance)" "bateale un jonrron botale la bola y gosa una bola...(salsa dance)" I will never forget that day!!!!!! NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! One more thing, I got drunk that night, shit>,< the first time for me to get drunk, shit>3< I looked so damn stupid>3< I WONT get drunk again!!!
From 9th to 24th May, I traveled around Mexico with Bacon^^ we had lots of fun and precious memories!!!!!!!!!! 9th May, when the plane took off and left Monterrey, I couldn't help crying, shit, tears kept falling from my eyes, everything seemed like come to an end. wtf, it's so fast. 24th ~ 26th May were the last three days for me to be in Monterrey. The last farewell dinner with pareja, Ming and Bacon in a Japanese restaurant at 25th May. At 26th, the last day in Monterrey, thx pareja for giving me a ride and the storage of my luggage. This man is my BEST friend in Mexico! He did make changes in my exchange life, making it great!!!!!! Hey! I cried like a PIG at the airport>3< SHIT SHIT SHIT tears kept falling from my eyes, like flooding@,@ I will MISS everything in Monterrey!!!!!
Eventually, it really REALLY came to an end! I have no regret. What I have are lots of precious and valuable memories, and of course, long-lasting friendships!!!
I LOVE Monterrey!!! I LOVE Mexico!!! |
