In figuring out my vote for this week's student government elections.... here are some questions and responses from some of the candidates running for representative positions on Michigan Student Assembly. This obviously is an imperfect way of finding out how candidates feel about campus issues, but hopefuly it's a bit helpful!

Think before you vote-- how do the issues you face fit into candidates' personal platforms? ...who will best represent you and the rest of the student body? Who took the time to respond?

VOTE Nov 17-18! For more information on the elections go to http://www.umich.edu/~vote

CANDIDATE QUESTIONAIRE

1 - If you are elected to be a representative on MSA, what will you do
personally to improve/create safe space on this campus for students of
targeted identities (race, sexual orientation, gender/gender identity,
religion, national origin, etc.) and to create space for intercommunity
dialogue?

2 - What have you done on campus so far to improve/create safe space for
students of targeted identities & create dialogue?

3 - If you are elected to be a representative on MSA, how will you support
the voices of students with targeted identities?

4 - What have you done on campus so far to support the voices of students
with targeted identities?

A - If you are elected to be a representative on MSA, what will you do
personally to address the drop in student of color admissions & enrollment
to the University of Michigan?

B - If you are elected to be a representative on MSA, what will you do
personally to address student concerns about the recent restructuring of
the Sexual Assault Prevention & Awareness Center (SAPAC)?

apology about its ties to Michigamua?
