2-4-6-8 We don't want to abdicate

Wow.  I almost can't believe this page is still here.

I've currently become addicted to Facebook.  I know, I know.  I'm a traitor. Or a cheater, some would say.  Sorry Xanga, but you are not my first love.

At least I didn't leave you for MySpace, like everyone else did.  *grin*

Leave a comment if you still are on Xanga.  Leave a comment if you've abdicated to MySpace or Facebook.

Hugs,

Similarities of Snow and Dust

Well, I don't know about you folks in the rest of the country, but we've been blanketed w/ about 5 inches of snow (a record for Nov.). It's beautiful.  All white and fluffy and covering everything.  Yesterday was like and early Christmas gift.  I actually got to stay home and read and not feel guilty about it.
Well, throughout the course of the morning, we noticed a loud noise emminating from my bedroom.  It seemed to be getting lounder and sounded just like I imagine a time-space portal would sound when it's tears through the fabric of reality.  Turns out it was just my computer, but man was it LOUD.  So of course I shut-er down.  Good thing, becasue the room stopped shanking (and I stopped being scared).  I let her "Rest" for a while and then turned her on again.  Same loud roar.  I was guessing the noise came directly from the fans (as you know, there are three) but the buzz escalated so that it caused me to (irrationally) fear that a fan blade might spin off and pierce an eye (or lung, or heart or some other vital to my existance organ) so I turned her off again.  It wasn't until thismorning (armed w/ protective eye adn chest gear) I opened her up (much like a surgeon) and discoverd about 5 inches of dust covering all parts.  Unfortunately it was not white and fluffy and beatuiful like snow, but thick, gray and dead (and covering everything).  She's purring like a kitten again.

Soundtrack of My Life

Stolen from Ella (who stole it from Marlowe- Break a Leg!)

IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT SONGS WOULD BE ON THE SOUNDTRACK?

So, here's how it works:
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing

STORIES THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN DIFFERENT IF THE PROTAGONISTS HAD HAD CELL PHONES

ROMEO:
News from Verona! How now, Balthasar?
Dost thou not bring me letters from the friar?
How doth my lady? Is my father well?
How fares my Juliet? That I ask again,
For nothing can be ill if she be well.

BALTHASAR:
Then she is well, and nothing can be ill.
Her body sleeps in Capel's monument,
And her immortal part with angels lives.
I saw her laid low in her kindred's vault
And presently took post to tell it you.
O, pardon me for bringing these ill news,
Since you did leave it for my office, sir.

ROMEO:
Is it e'en so? Then I defy you, stars!
But soft! What SMS through yonder RAZR breaks?

SMS ON ROMEO'S PHONE:
i'm ok -- poison fake
